With us, anticipate engaging and challenging projects that deliver innovative solutions and value-added technologies helping power more than 38 million North American homes.</p>\n<h2>What You’ll Do Day-To-Day</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Working with other Engineering teams to define new or revised software requirements.</li>\n <li>Program new or revise existing tools that (1) simulate the physical phenomena occurring in a nuclear plant or (2) automate data analysis and visualization workflows for engineers. Perform testing to verify and validate software performance in accordance with quality assurance procedures.</li>\n <li>Provide input High Performance Computing (HPC) system hardware needs to support engineering activities.  </li>\n <li>Optimize software runtime performance</li>\n <li>Solve a range of straightforward problems, analyze solutions and assess each using standard procedures.  </li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with government regulations, organization, industry and customer engineering standards with support of senior staff.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred Skills/Knowledge:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Development and deployment of scientific, engineering, or data analysis software applications, preferably for High Performance Computing (HPC) Linux systems. </li>\n <li>Knowledge of and able to apply software engineering best practices with respect to understanding requirements, design, version control, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and documentation.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of the following programming languages: Python, C, C++, and/or FORTRAN.</li>\n <li>Experience with design and development of graphical user interfaces (GUI), preferably with C++, Qt, or Python.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with optimization algorithms, constraint handling, and evolutionary computation. </li>\n <li>Ability to explain technical details clearly to non-experts and collaborate across disciplines.</li>\n <li>Understanding of supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning methods.</li>\n <li>Display positive and effective team interaction.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Bring</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.\n  <ul>\n   <li>Dependent on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology and Engineering Science may also be accepted.  </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Minimum of 2 years of related experience.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.    </li>\n <li>Advanced level of specific software tools and programming skills. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Total Rewards Package</h2>\n<p><strong>Total Rewards Package          </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Salary</strong>: $88,000 - $95,000 and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline.
