Screening Partnership Program (SPP)</p><p>Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) under the Screening Partnership Program (SPP) are responsible for protecting the nation&rsquo;s transportation systems by conducting effective passenger and baggage screening operations in accordance with TSA security requirements and Standard Operating Procedures.</p><p><strong><u>Primary Duties</u></strong></p><p>Perform passenger and baggage screening using advanced electronic imaging, X-ray, and detection equipment.</p><p>Conduct pat-down searches, alarm resolution, and other critical security procedures in compliance with established protocols.</p><p>Operate hand-held metal detectors, walk-through metal detectors, and X-ray systems to identify prohibited items.</p><p>Maintain situational awareness and apply threat detection principles to ensure the safety and security of the traveling public.</p><p>Communicate professionally and courteously with passengers, providing directions, assistance, and clear explanations of screening procedures.</p><p>Support checkpoint and baggage operations through assigned rotations to maintain vigilance and throughput efficiency.</p><p>Adhere to all security, safety, and customer service standards while maintaining confidentiality and integrity of operations.</p><p><strong><u>Physical and Work Requirements</u></strong></p><p>Lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance.</p><p>Stand and remain on duty for extended periods, including up to three consecutive hours.</p><p>Perform duties in a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment.</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National</li><li>Be at least 18 years of age</li><li>Have a High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)</li><li>Proficiency in English, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening.</li><li>Pass a computerized assessment (grammar and ability to interpret X-rays)</li><li>Pass a medical evaluation (vision, hearing, and joint mobility exam)</li><li>Pass pre-employment drug test</li><li>Pass a TSA background and financial records check</li><li>Ability to successfully complete required classroom training, on-the-job training, and all certification and recertification requirements.</li><li>Ability to work any day, Monday &ndash; Sunday, and any shift between 12:00 AM and 11:59 PM</li><li>Minimum Clearance to Start: Public Trust</li><li>Ability to follow detailed procedures, work as part of a team, and respond effectively to changing operational conditions.</li></ul><p><br></p><p style='box-sizing: inherit;
