Ensures participants follow safety procedures, wear PPE, and maintains a safe and hazard-free environment. Addresses issues with appropriate communication and documentation. This position also assists in supervising recreation programs and activities to support a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for youth.</p><p><strong>Minimum Requirements:</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Strong demonstrated interpersonal, leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to mentor, motivate and guide staff</li><li>Demonstrated understanding of group dynamics, conflict resolution and ability to work collaboratively</li><li>Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Ability to remain calm, focused, and levelheaded during fast paced or high stress situations</li><li>Energetic, enthusiastic, and committed to creating a safe and inclusive work environment&nbsp;</li><li>High School Diploma (or equivalent) and experience with planning, developing and managing youth programs</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left: 0.5in; line-height: 1;\"><strong>~OR~</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"line-height: 1;\">Enrollment in higher-education program related to parks and recreation fields.</li><li>Previous experience supervising youth groups, in a recreation or educational setting</li><li>Current CPR and First Aid Certification required (training provided)</li><li>Position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and lifting or pulling materials up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Successful candidate must pass the background check and continue to be eligible for employment in accordance with the Mohegan Tribe&rsquo;s Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Policy</li><li>Must be at least 18 years old</li></ul><p><strong>The Mohegan Tribal Government is committed to Native American Preference and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.</strong></p><div><div class=\"fr-view\"><p><br></p></div></div><p><br></p></div></div></div></div>\n",
