    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Summary/ Objective</strong></p>\n<p>The position of a Drafting Technician is responsible for creating and redlining piping isometrics and piping and instrumentation diagrams. A Drafting Technician will perform work as required to maximize the quality of the Company while maintaining the specified expectations of the client and ensure safe working environment while performing work and will conduct all Company business in accordance with Company policies and procedures. This position will maintain professionalism throughout all business dealings, both internally and externally.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Functions</strong></p>\n<p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p>\n<li>Perform field verifications on piping and fixed equipment per the provided documents.</li>\n<li>Interpret piping isometrics and P&ID’s.</li>\n<li>Create and redline piping isometrics and P&ID’s.</li>\n<li>Develop plans in accordance with project specifications.</li>\n<li>Study various work documents (sketches, data, specification sheets, P&ID’s)</li>\n<li>Develop plans, drawings, diagrams and models in accordance with effective specifications, norms and techniques.</li>\n<li>Review, evaluate and implement recommendations for improved methods or procedures.</li>\n<li>Ensure all work is performed in accordance with applicable environmental, health, safety and building codes as required by federal, state, local and refinery regulations.</li>\n<li>Maintain poise and focus under time constraint and adverse conditions.</li>\n<li>Attend and complete trainings as required by the Company and client.</li>\n<li>Pass all required drug/alcohol testing and background requirements.</li>\n<li>Perform other related duties as assigned.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Supervisory Responsibility </strong></p>\n<p>This position will have no supervisory responsibilities.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Other Duties</strong></p>\n<p>Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice that are job-related and consistent with business necessity. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Work Environment </strong></p>\n<p>This job operates in both the field environment and a professional office environment. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\n<p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of the job, a Drafting Technician is occasionally required to bend, stoop, walk, climb, squat, reach, kneel, push/pull, stand, sit and lift up to 20 pounds.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work </strong></p>\n<p>This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are variable/ project dependent. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Travel</strong></p>\n<p>Travel is expected. Familiarity with inspection isometrics and P&ID’s. Knowledge of computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software and its features; database searches, proficiency in the use of calculation, simulation and graphic design software. Basic jobsite follow-up (coordination of players, organization, checking of invoices, writing of reports).</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Education and Experience </strong></p>\n<p>Petrochemical/refinery experience. First Aid and CPR trained. Class “A” driver’s license and a clean MVR.</p>",
