Assists in the training and development of subordinate staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies. Relies on experience and professional judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary: </strong>Responsible for the implementation and adherence to the Kinney Standard of Practice as it relates to the provision of the highest quality health care service to our customers</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Follows the Kinney Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions and counsel patients</li>\n <li>Performs all quality assurance steps to ensure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed. Reports dispensing incidents in a timely manner, in accordance with company guidelines</li>\n <li>Follows all State and Federal guidelines governing the practice of Pharmacy</li>\n <li>Oversees the initial submission, resubmission and collection of all third party claims</li>\n <li>Manages and balances the pharmacy inventory to provide for maximum turns while still remaining in-stock for customer needs. Oversees the transmitting, processing and receiving of orders to and from the Kinney Warehouse and additional suppliers as needed</li>\n <li>Oversees the checking of pharmacy inventory for outdates and processing of all returns</li>\n <li>Ensures prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelines</li>\n <li>Ensures in-store pharmacy technology is being used to its fullest potential to allow for a maximum return on investment of the technology and life span</li>\n <li>Ensure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees at all times</li>\n <li>Ensure all loss Prevention policies are followed by all employees and report deviations from said policies to Loss Prevention</li>\n <li>Assist in the implementation of all corporate pharmacy marketing, advertising and promotional programs are fully executed and implemented</li>\n <li>Oversees the maintenance of the pharmacy department to ensure a clean and professional environment</li>\n <li>Maintains and develops professional relationships with doctors and others in the health service professions</li>\n <li>Maintains an awareness of developments in the Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrates them into own practice</li>\n <li>Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient information</li>\n <li>Facilitates communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel</li>\n <li>Assists in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within said guidelines</li>\n <li>Assist in the training and development of all pharmacy department personnel, including use of the Kinney Pharmacy Clerk and Technician Training Program</li>\n <li>Interface with various auditors and outside agencies, as needed </li>\n <li>Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum: BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Posses and maintain a valid State License and current registration to practice Pharmacy</li>\n <li>Ability to stand/walk throughout majority of shift</li>\n <li>Successful completion of a pre-employment and/or random drug screening test</li>\n <li>Certified Immunizer</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Job Skills Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong customer service and communication skills</li>\n <li>Strong Organizational skills</li>\n <li>Basic keyboarding skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Required Training:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>HIPPA Privacy Course </li>\n <li>HIPPA Security Course</li>\n <li>Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Course</li>\n <li>MethGuard Course</li>\n <li>HIPPA Privacy CE Mastery Exam</li>\n <li>HIPPA Security CE Mastery Exam</li>\n <li>Fraud, Waste, and Abuse CE Mastery Exam</li>\n <li>MethGuard CE Mastery Exam</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Management Skills Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Customer Service: Must provide timely and accurate responses to all business associates and customers</li>\n <li>Planning: Must develop effective plans, objectives and goals that achieve desired results in a timely manner</li>\n <li>Organization: Must organize work in a systematic way, establish clear lines of responsibility, and delegate effectively</li>\n <li>Communication: Must write and speak clearly and effectively at all levels, listen and be attentive to others</li>\n <li>Decision Making: Gather, analyze data and make and/or implement effective decisions in a timely manner</li>\n <li>Technology: Must use technology to its fullest potential to achieve department and corporate goals</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Leadership Skills Required</strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Leadership: Gains acceptance of ideas and accomplishes goals through subordinates, peers and teams</li>\n <li>Personnel Development: Selects, trains, coaches and develops associates and teams for peak performance</li>\n <li>Team Work: Must strengthen team performance by sharing information, establishing guidelines and celebrating success</li>\n <li>Empowerment: Demonstrates positive and active ownership of one’s responsibilities and fosters the same in others</li>\n <li>Employee Relations: Provides and solicits constructive feedback, evaluates performance and takes corrective action</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Behavioral Traits</strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Intuitive/Open minded: Must be able to see opportunities, develop and implement creative solutions to complex problems</li>\n <li>Achievement Drive/Commitment: Driven to achieve goals, objectives and results.
