This manager will lead our Quality Engineers on commercial and military production as well as aftermarket in Fort Wayne, IN.&nbsp; In this role, you will work closely with plant leadership to provide proactive, value-added solutions, and deliver for internal &amp; external customers.&nbsp; This position will be a “hands‑on” leader who turns strategy into everyday achievements.&nbsp; You will drive continuous‑improvement initiatives, and ensure that every product, and process meets the standards of our customers and regulators.<br><br>The successful candidate:<ul><li>Possess strong communication and presentation skills to facilitate effective communication at all levels of the organization and across customers and partner communities</li><li>Consult, collaborate, and work as a liaison with other departments and internal/external customers to provide the support required to successfully evaluate and bring closure to any quality issues</li><li>Is a visible, influential leader who takes a collaborative approach with others and comes across as approachable; can diffuse high-tension situations effectively</li><li>Can form a highly capable quality assurance staff by recruiting, organizing and developing team members</li><li>Take responsibility for resolving technical challenges and ensuring successful tactical execution across the team</li><li>Relates well with individuals at all levels of the organization, builds effective relationships within the factory and across customer base</li></ul><br>Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Provide direction, supervision, and guidance to ensure alignment with quality policy, strategic objectives and organization goals that drive world class quality</li><li>Ensure products conform to established company and regulatory performance and quality standards</li><li>Investigate problems and develop disposition and corrective actions for discrepancies – using proven RCCA techniques and driving sustainable preventive improvements.</li><li>Translate the business area quality strategy into detailed work plans, timelines, and KPI dashboards</li><li>Prepares executive level quality performance presentations (KPI analysis, customer scorecards, audit readiness, etc.) for senior leadership meetings</li><li>Champions a culture of quality and continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies</li><li>Provide risk‑assessment expertise (APQP, PFMEA, PPAP) to product‑development and manufacturing teams</li><li>Coach and develop quality team members (engineers, technicians, analysts) to build capabilities aligned with the quality strategy, conduct performance reviews and support employee development</li><li>Maintain and enhance quality data platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Minitab) to enable rapid, data‑driven decision making</li><li>Generate and distribute weekly quality metrics (defect rates, yield, audit findings, quality scorecards) to stakeholders</li><li>Participate in strategic planning sessions to set quality objectives, budgets, and resource plans</li><li>Manage the full CAPA lifecycle: intake, root‑cause analysis, corrective‑action implementation, verification, and effectiveness review ensuring timely root‑cause analysis and resolution</li></ul>",
