At UnityPoint Health, <strong>you </strong>matter. </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide TeleHospitalist coverage at multiple UnityPoint hospitals</li>\n <li>Position is employed with UnityPoint Clinic</li>\n <li>Flexibility with schedule including nights, weekends, and Holidays\n  <ul>\n   <li>6, 12-hour shifts/month</li>\n   <li>Self-scheduling</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Response time within 30 minutes</li>\n <li>Utilize Vidyo Telehealth</li>\n <li>Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care</li>\n <li>Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment</li>\n <li>Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills</li>\n <li>Managing cross coverage & low acuity admissions (as needed) on overnight shift for one or more hospitals, depending on the number of beds covered.</li>\n <li>Cross cover needs, include but not limited to entering orders, calling nurses, staff, patients, or families. </li>\n <li>Helping with transfers to higher level of care if needed overnight, transfer to ICU or other floors within same facility, calling in through Vidyo to evaluate patients if needed. </li>\n <li>Documentation per CMS & TH guidelines for H&Ps, cross coverage, significant events, handoff, etc.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>MD or DO</li>\n <li>Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine</li>\n <li><strong><em>Requires 1 year of bedside clinical experience as a Hospitalist</em></strong></li>\n <li>Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in your state of residency, AND IA, IL and WI</li>\n <li>Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice</li>\n <li>Credentialed at all UPH hospitals staffed by a TeleHospitalist  </li>\n <li>Unemployable states: NY, CA, OR, VT, WA, DC</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>We offer</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Shift based compensation with RVU production and performance incentive </li>\n <li>A competitive Total Rewards program offers benefits that align with your needs and priorities, no matter what stage of life you are in. </li>\n <li>Generous time off and CME allowance, malpractice insurance, retirement contributions and more </li>\n <li>Dedicated provider resources to positively impact providers work-life balance</li>\n <li>Eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness, including a free third-party service for loan restructuring and consolidation. </li>\n <li>A commitment to ensuring you have a voice that is heard regardless of role, race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation. </li>\n <li>Support and development opportunities that are a crucial part of delivering a remarkable employment experience. </li>\n <li>A culture guided by uncompromising values and unwavering belief in doing what’s right for the people we serve.</li>\n</ul>",
