To act as a preceptor in performing high quality pediatric echocardiograms for students, novice sonographers and fellows.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At Children’s Mercy, we are committed to ensuring that everyone feels welcomed within our walls. If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.</em></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform Pediatric Echocardiography on patients in age from newborns to adults and act as a preceptor for novice imagers.</li>\n <li>Provide care with consideration of patient's age, diagnosis, psycho-social characteristics and family stressors that affect ability to understand or retain instructions. Maintain service excellence in all aspects of echo lab operations.</li>\n <li>Maintain efficient operations of the Echo Lab</li>\n <li>Demonstrate commitment to teamwork and learning</li>\n <li>Participate in performance improvement activities designed to improve patient care and/or organizational processes</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate's Degree Graduation from accredited sonography program, preferred and 3-5 years experience in Pediatric and/or Adult Congenital Echo, preferred or</li>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree from an accredited sonography program preferred and 3-5 years experience in Pediatric and/or Adult Congenital Echo</li>\n <li>One of the following: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDCS), Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer required upon hire</li>\n <li>RDCS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDCS) RDCS or RCCS Required Upon Hire</li>\n <li>BLS Certification Required Upon Hire</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits at Children's Mercy</h2>\n<p>The benefits plans at Children’s Mercy are one of many reasons we are recognized as one of the best places to work in Kansas City.
