    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p>\n<p>The Sr. Mold Technician&nbsp;performs routine maintenance on plastic injection molds both in the press and on the bench under the direct supervision of a Lead Technician. This consists of disassembling, cleaning, organizing, and reassembling complex tooling used in the injection molding process.</p>\n<p><strong>This role is 100% onsite at our Salt Lake City, UT manufacturing facility.&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Follow all company safety practices.&nbsp;Highlight safety risks and work with the Lead Technician and Supervisor to implement solutions to new risks.</li>\n <li>Perform routine maintenance on plastic injection molds in the press and on the bench</li>\n <li>Disassemble, visually inspecting, cleaning, organizing, and reassembling complex high cavitation tooling</li>\n <li>Ensure all equipment is working properly</li>\n <li>Shop awareness and cleanliness&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Production circumstances may require working outside normal hours</li>\n <li>Participate in activities to ensure departmental compliance to all Federal, State, Local and Company regulatory requirements.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Work on special projects as they arise as directed</li>\n <li>Actively demonstrating support through interactions with solid communication skills, attitude, dedication, commitment, respect, pride and trust</li>\n <li>Electrical skills (testing/troubleshooting)</li>\n <li>Stoning/polishing mold components</li>\n <li>Understand torque settings</li>\n <li>Understanding between using Standard vs Metric</li>\n <li>Demonstrate machining skills (grinder, lathe, mill)&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Measure/fitting stack heights</li>\n <li>Ability to set/time unwinds</li>\n <li>Fitting mold components&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Hot Runner skills (clean, bake, wire)</li>\n <li>Ability to start working independently</li>\n <li>Ability to train/oversee new hires starting from Mold I and II</li>\n <li>Basic shop math skills</li>\n <li>Ability to use proper measurement techniques with (micrometer, calipers, dial indicator)</li>\n <li>Complete shop paperwork and documentation using correct terminology (FA, tool workorder)</li>\n <li>Follow all regulatory requirements e.g. Current Good Manufacturing and Documentation Practices</li>\n <li>Perform these and other duties as necessary or required, the inclusion of which will not alter the basic scope of the position&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Having a mechanical aptitude&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Knowledge and understanding of basic shop tools and hand tools</li>\n <li>Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and basic electrical systems</li>\n <li>Familiarity with high cavitation tools</li>\n <li>Prototype mold manufacturing and/or maintenance desired, but not required</li>\n <li>Knowledge and understand mechanics and terminology of a mold and their functions</li>\n <li>Knowledge and understand mechanics and terminology of an injection molding machine</li>\n <li>Knowledge and understanding of surface finish and how they are achieved</li>\n <li>Ability to read/understand 2D prints (part/tool)</li>\n <li>Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and servo systems</li>\n <li>Understanding of Hot Runner systems</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Education and Experience&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of 3 years of tool repair and maintenance experience</li>\n <li>High School Diploma or equivalent required</li>\n <li>Previous injection molding or tooling experience is required</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be 18 years of age</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Travel Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements and Work Environment</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>While performing the duties of this job the employee is expected to communicate both verbally and written.</li>\n <li>This role routinely uses standard office equipment e.g. computers, tablets, touchscreens etc..</li>\n <li>Some aspects of this job will require tasks to be performed in a clean room environment.</li>\n <li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit or stand for long periods of time.</li>\n <li>Job duties may require working inside /outside injection molding machines and working on ladders.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Must be capable of lifting and moving up to 50lbs.</li>\n <li>Work schedule could change anytime per business needs.</li>\n</ul>",
