The Project Engineer will work closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and design teams to ensure technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and adherence to project schedules and budgets.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist in managing day-to-day project activities and field operations.</li>\n <li>Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and compliance.</li>\n <li>Prepare and track RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field crews.</li>\n <li>Support cost control, scheduling, and quality assurance efforts.</li>\n <li>Ensure safety and environmental compliance on-site.</li>\n <li>Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.</li>\n <li>6+ years of heavy civil construction experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.<strong> </strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Heavy civil construction project experience in Northern California.</li>\n <li>Experience with self-perform civil construction projects. </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Additional Information:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>This position is located in northern California.</li>\n <li>Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.</li>\n <li>This position does not include sponsorship for a United States work authorization.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The salary range for this position is between $145,000-$180,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Shimmick's comprehensive benefits plan includes medical, dental and vision coverage; as well as options to participate in an FSA or HSA. The Company also provides employer paid STD, LTD, basic life and AD&D, and an Employee Assistance Program. Additional voluntary benefit offerings include pet insurance, hospital indemnity, critical illness insurance, legal and identity theft protection.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>These benefits are available to all employees working more than 20 hours per week.
