Whether you're a recent graduate who is new to the field, or a seasoned veteran teacher, we welcome all teachers to join Hudson Guild in creating a healthy, nurturing and collaborative learning environment. Following DO</span><span>H Article 47 programming, our teachers implement curriculum that supports each child's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth and development. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Our Early Childhood Education department is a 12 month program. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Early Childhood (Birth-Grade 2); Nursery, Kindergarten, and Grades 1-6 (N-6); Students with Disabilities (Birth-Grade 2)</span></li>\n<li><span>BA in Early Childhood Education</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span>A Master's in Early Childhood Education and/or related field</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Work a daily 8 hour shift, Monday-Friday</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</span></p>\n<ul></ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Bilingual in either Spanish/English; Mandarin/English; Cantonese/English </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Work collaboratively with classroom staff to ensure a safe and healthy classroom</span></li>\n<li><span>Supervise staff in the classroom including assistant teachers, aides, volunteers, and therapists</span></li>\n<li><span>Develop lesson plans that are aligned with the Creative Curriculum format and the Common Core Standards</span></li>\n<li><span>Effectively communicate the development and progress of children with families using cultural sensitivity</span></li>\n<li><span>Responsible for identifying children with disabilities and assisting with referrals</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintain up to date documentation for children in your classroom, including being responsible for assessing children in the classroom, writing monthly observations, and conducting home visits</span></li>\n<li><span>Responsible for maintaining and updating classroom setting regularly</span></li>\n<li><span>Attend weekly teacher meetings, monthly in-service training's, and other professional development training's</span></li>\n<li><span>Follow governing agency guidelines including the Department of Health &amp; Mental Hygiene, Head Start, Administration for Children’s Services, and Universal Pre-Kindergarten</span></li>\n<li><span>Perform other duties as assigned</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>COMPREHENSIVE BENEFITS: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Union position </span></li>\n<li><span>Health Insurance</span></li>\n<li><span>Dental</span></li>\n<li><span>Vision</span></li>\n<li><span>Life Insurance </span></li>\n<li><span>403b </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>As a NYC contracted agency all positions at Hudson Guild fall under the NYC vaccine mandate.
