Our rich diversity of people and ideas makes us a stronger, more innovative organization.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary: </strong></p>\n<p>The Field Planning Technician role is responsible for supporting pre-construction planning activities, including site surveys, data collection, and preparation of project designs for  telecommunications and utility infrastructure.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct field surveys to gather site-specific data and measurements </li>\n <li>Document field conditions through notes, photos, and sketches </li>\n <li>Prepare and update project layouts and design packages </li>\n <li>Interpret construction drawings and utility plans </li>\n <li>Identify permitting, right-of-way, and environmental constraints </li>\n <li>Coordinate with engineering and field teams to ensure accurate planning </li>\n <li>Develop material lists and bill of materials </li>\n <li>Assist in route planning for underground and aerial installations </li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with company and client standards </li>\n <li>Support cost estimating and budgeting </li>\n <li>Maintain organized project documentation </li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required & Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Basic knowledge of electrical or utility construction </li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret maps and technical drawings </li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy </li>\n <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office </li>\n <li>Strong organizational and communication skills </li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and in teams </li>\n <li>Ability to travel to field sites </li>\n <li>Valid driver's license </li>\n <li>Preferred: GIS or AutoCAD experience </li>\n <li>Preferred: Telecommunications or utility planning experience </li>\n <li>Preferred: Knowledge of permitting and right-of-way  </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Education and Experience Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required</li>\n <li>Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred </li>\n <li>1–3 years of related experience preferred </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Hourly Range: </strong>$24.00 to $36.00 per hour</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>401(k) Plan </li>\n <li>Employee Stock Purchase Plan </li>\n <li>Health, Dental, & Vision Insurance </li>\n <li>Voluntary Life Insurance </li>\n <li>Voluntary Short-Term & Long-Term Disability</li>\n <li>Paid Time Off </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Henkels & McCoy West is an Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities, Females, Protected Veterans, and Individuals with Disabilities.  </strong></p>",
