    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Utility Maintenance Technician Iowa Falls Pullets</strong></p><p>Opal Foods is accepting applications for the position of <strong>Groundskeeper/</strong><strong>Utility</strong> <strong>Maintenance Technician for our Iowa Falls Pullets Farm in Iowa Falls, IA</strong>. This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on machinery while maintaining compliance with all company policies and governmental regulations including safety, bio-security and animal welfare requirements. This position will work in the pullet houses and must be able to work in a live animal/farm environment. This position will also assist the Pullet Manager with other projects and duties as needed.</p><p><strong>Position Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Keep equipment running and operating safely and efficiently by maintaining and repairing machinery and mechanical equipment such as electric motors, pneumatic systems, and conveyor systems</li><li>Perform preventive and urgent maintenance of production machinery and equipment</li><li>Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments</li><li>Take a proactive approach to issue resolution including root cause analyses and error proofing controls related to down time</li><li>Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment to perform duties</li><li>Use front end loader to move litter</li><li>Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision</li><li>Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Upkeep of grounds-weed eating, mowing, trash, spraying weeds</li><li>Maintaining truck disinfection stations or hand pumps</li><li>Maintaining roads&nbsp;</li><li>Keep feed pads clear of feed</li><li>Preventive maintenance on all outside equipment-feed bins, incline belts, cool cells,</li><li>Staying on top of bird control</li><li>Staying on top of outside bait stations</li><li>Staying on top of snow boards repairs-Coulter and Iowa Falls</li><li>Keeping track of visitors and supply deliveries&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements of a Maintenance Technician:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Fast paced work environment</li><li>Lift fifty or more pounds on a regular basis</li><li>Bend, lift, pull, push, stoop, bend and climb</li><li>Work in a general farm environment around live animals; must be able to tolerate a dusty environment</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements:</strong> (knowledge, experience, skills, education)</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Mechanical and electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skills</li><li>Previous experience troubleshooting equipment, performing preventive maintenance and repairing industrial processing equipment</li><li>Front end loader/Forklift certification</li><li>Organized and detail oriented</li><li>Willing to work off schedule shifts and/or nights when necessary</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>2 years of experience in maintenance related roles</li><li>Ability to communicate in English and Spanish</li></ul><p><strong>About Opal Foods:</strong> Opal Foods was formed in 2014 and is a partnership between Rose Acre Farms and Weaver Brothers.
