    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Fleet Maintenance Technician</span></strong></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">The Fleet Maintenance Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on diesel engines, trailers, lift gates, and related mechanical components in heavy vehicles and equipment. This role requires extensive knowledge of diesel engines, mechanical systems, trailers, lift gate operations, and various material handling equipment.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">The&nbsp;fleet Maintenance Manager&nbsp;reports to the Fleet Maintenance Manager. &nbsp;This is a non-exempt position.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Primary Job Responsibilities &amp; Objectives:</strong></span></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Diagnose Engine and Mechanical Issues:&nbsp;Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems in diesel engines, including engine, transmission, hydraulic, and electrical systems.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Trailer and Lift Gate Maintenance:&nbsp;Inspect, maintain, and repair trailers and lift gates to ensure proper functionality and safety. This includes checking hydraulics, structural components, and electrical systems, as well as roll-up doors, operators, flooring, landing gear, and cross member repairs.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Perform Repairs:&nbsp;Conduct repairs, such as replacing defective parts, repairing worn components, and installing new systems. Use of diagnostic equipment, such as multimeters and diagnostic software is required.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Preventive Maintenance:&nbsp;Perform regular inspections and maintenance to ensure the proper functioning of diesel engines, trailers, lift gates, and delivery pallet jacks, including checking oil, brakes, transmissions, and cooling systems.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repair work, parts inventory, and service reports. Provide accurate estimates of repair costs to assist in repair vs. replacement decisions. &nbsp;Ensure that all records meet DOT compliance regulations.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Safety Compliance:&nbsp;Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Vocational or technical training in diesel mechanics is preferred.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">ASE Diesel Certification or equivalent is a plus.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">2+ years of experience working as a Fleet Maintenance Technician or in a related field, with experience in trailer and lift gate maintenance preferred.</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Physical Demands</strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
