If you’re looking for a place to build a long-term career while making a positive difference, consider joining our legal team where you’ll represent Liberty Mutual and our policyholders.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We have an exciting opportunity for a Workers' Compensation Attorney <strong>admitted and residing in Nevada.</strong>  You will be handling a caseload of workers’ compensation matters, conduct depositions, and represent Liberty Mutual and its policyholders at WC hearings. You will also interact with Liberty Mutual’s Workers’ Compensation claims organization.   </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Use Litigation Protocols to develop and revise appropriate legal strategy for discovery, investigation, handling and trial/hearing of cases or matters.</li>\n <li>Responsible for appearances before the Workers Compensation Board, conducting depositions, drafting, and filing summations, appeals and rebuttals. </li>\n <li>Research the law applicable to cases or matters; drafts legal documents, pleadings, motions, briefs, and opinions as required.  If requested, conduct settlement negotiations.</li>\n <li>Advise, communicate and confer with Claims Representatives and Insured Clients, rendering clear, unambiguous legal opinions and advice. Personally meet with and maintain good relations and communications with Claims Representatives and Insured Clients as required. </li>\n <li>Remain current with developments in the law; understand medical, scientific, construction, products, engineering or similar issues and defenses involved with cases or matters.</li>\n <li>Prepare and conduct training sessions for Legal, Claims or other departments as required.</li>\n <li>Provide daily direction and guidance to junior attorneys.</li>\n <li>Understand and creatively use technology; apply technology to the process of law to improve quality and reduce cost.</li>\n <li>Act as a team or group leader for an assigned group handling workers compensation cases.</li>\n <li>Interface with Home Office Legal department.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Juris Doctor (JD) or LLB degree from an accredited law school.</li>\n <li>Admission to the bar in <strong>Nevada </strong>and in good standing; special licenses to practice before particular boards or federal courts may be required.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 5 years of successful attorney experience, Workers’ Compensation experience required.</li>\n <li>Must have experience with settlement conferences, expedited hearings and conducting depositions; trial experience preferred.</li>\n <li>Proven experience managing moderately complex litigation with demonstrated success in achieving favorable outcomes.</li>\n <li>General knowledge of insurance law, and as necessary, workers’ compensation and/or No Fault law.</li>\n <li>Exceptional legal research, writing, negotiation, and analytical skills.</li>\n <li>Proficient in advanced e-discovery tools, legal case management software, and remote collaboration technologies.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead junior attorneys and legal staff.</li>\n <li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client relationship management skills.</li>\n <li>Commitment to ethical legal practice and compliance with all regulatory and professional standards. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>About Us</h2>\n<p><strong>Pay Philosophy:</strong> The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location.
