Description

Responsibilities This is an onsite position at Peraton's customer site: NSWCCD West Bethesda, MD. Peraton is hiring a Naval Structures Modeling Engineer to do the following: Support the US Navy's Structural Acoustics research team at NSWC Carderock Division. Candidate will work with Finite Element Modeling / Finite Element Analysis (FEM/FEA) tools to support ongoing research into the acoustics of US Navy platforms. Significant portion of responsibilities will involve generation and test of FEM model meshes of complex Naval structures using commercial FEM tools. Additional efforts will include running FEA tools, generating results, and assisting Government SMEs in analysis of the FEA results. Candidate will work within a Government - Contractor team performing multiple projects concurrently. A successful candidate must be a self-starter able to communicate with multiple teams, set and adjust priorities and schedules, and deliver results per schedule. Qualifications What you will need: 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA Demonstrated experience with Finite Element Modeling.
