The MA Clinician will provide crisis and respite support services to individuals in being supported by the Deaf Respite Program. Are you ready to make a difference ? Minimum Education Required Master's Degree Shift First Shift, Second Shift Additional Shift Details Sunday-Thursday Responsibilities Ensure an environment that promotes safety, recovery, and treatment. Provide psychiatric and substance abuse evaluations of individuals at the Respite site. Provide clinical oversight of work performed at the respite program, including participation in an on-call rotation. Work with clients in a collaborative manner to develop assessments, Individualized Action Plans (IAPs), Individualized Service Plans (ISPs), crisis plans, relapse plans, and other items needed to support their stay at the program. Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of managed care and health insurance systems. Provide information on treatment and referral services. Maintain linkages with specific community services by providing documented case consultations and problem resolution. Provide transportation to appointments and other community integration opportunities. Ensure the program site is maintained in a clean and sanitary manner. Qualifications Master’s Degree in related field and at least two years’ experience with target population (inpatient, outpatient, residential acceptable). Must be fluent in American Sign Language (ASL). Ability to develop and maintain satisfactory working relationships with employees and providers. Must have working knowledge of current version of the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. Must possess excellent assessment and interviewing skills. Basic computer knowledge. Excellent communication skills. High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere. Must hold a valid driver's license, have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport clients. Strongly prefer a candidate that will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
