We are a strong-knit community that values the ideas and contributions of our staff.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The MA Clinician will provide crisis and respite support services to individuals in being supported by the Deaf Respite Program.</p>\n<p>                                       </p>\n<p><strong>Are you ready to make a difference</strong><strong>?</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Minimum Education Required</h2>Master's Degree\n<h2>Shift</h2>First Shift, Second Shift\n<h2>Additional Shift Details</h2>Sunday-Thursday\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure an environment that promotes safety, recovery, and treatment.</li>\n <li>Provide psychiatric and substance abuse evaluations of individuals at the Respite site.</li>\n <li>Provide clinical oversight of work performed at the respite program, including participation in an on-call rotation.</li>\n <li>Work with clients in a collaborative manner to develop assessments, Individualized Action Plans (IAPs), Individualized Service Plans (ISPs), crisis plans, relapse plans, and other items needed to support their stay at the program.</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of managed care and health insurance systems.</li>\n <li>Provide information on treatment and referral services.  Maintain linkages with specific community services by providing documented case consultations and problem resolution.</li>\n <li>Provide transportation to appointments and other community integration opportunities.  </li>\n <li>Ensure the program site is maintained in a clean and sanitary manner.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Master’s Degree in related field and at least two years’ experience with target population (inpatient, outpatient, residential acceptable).</li>\n <li>Must be fluent in American Sign Language (ASL).</li>\n <li>Ability to develop and maintain satisfactory working relationships with employees and providers.</li>\n <li>Must have working knowledge of current version of the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.</li>\n <li>Must possess excellent assessment and interviewing skills.</li>\n <li>Basic computer knowledge.</li>\n <li>Excellent communication skills.</li>\n <li>High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere.</li>\n <li>Must hold a valid driver's license, have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport clients.</li>\n <li>Strongly prefer a candidate that will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Advocates is committed to cultivating a diverse and welcoming community where everyone feels respected and valued.
