The position involves analyzing warranty and connected vehicle data, identifying failure trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, etc.) to determine root causes and implement corrective actions. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who possesses a deep understanding of warranty fundamentals and can switch between priorities easily in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
What you'll do...
Lead analysis on customer, dealer, and connected vehicle data for field failures

Align Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) data with warranty claims to prioritize activities
Create and present executive summaries to management
Lead/support warranty investigations using problem-solving methodologies
Support NTF (No Trouble Found) investigations to reduce waste and improve diagnostic accuracy
Review and analyze test results and data to validate fixes to approve and monitor the effectiveness of Interim/Permanent Corrective Actions (ICA/PCA)
Lead supplier engagement, facilitating support for warranty analysis and driving accountability through 8D workplans and JIRA tracking
Collaborate with Feature Owners, Design Engineering, Quality, and Plant PVT teams to drive systemic corrective actions
Manage warranty part return volumes and coordinate with internal and external teams to complete field investigations
Assist in the creation of service messages, field service actions, and workshop manual updates based on data findings
Provide Global Warranty Coverage (GWC) support, including defining acceptance factors, developing vehicle criteria, and dispositioning disputes
Qualifications
You'll have...
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
5+ years of experience with OEM warranty data and metrics (e.g., Ford GSAR/AWS)
2+ years of experience in a non-academic setting using at least two of the following: SQL, Alteryx, or MS Access
1+ years of experience in a data analytics role (writing queries, manipulating large datasets)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced and innovative environment where problems are not always well-defined
Familiarity with printed circuit boards, IC chips
Ability to make sound decisions based on available data
Strong work ethic
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Demonstrated expertise in problem solving, using advanced root cause analysis methodology, tools, documentation, and techniques (8D, 3x5 Why, Fishbone, Black Belt techniques, etc.)
