    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<h3>At Mahaska Health, the LP - Medical Supply Nurse is responsible for daily clinical services at Mahaska Health Sleep and Medical Supplies.  Performs patient equipment and supply set-ups and fittings. Responsible for follow-up with patients to establish compliance with usage for reimbursement. Ability to review and troubleshoot devices for patient usage. </h3>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Hours: </strong>Monday - Friday</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Job Functions:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provides for the safe delivery, set-up, use, and processing of equipment for Mahaska Health Sleep and Medical Supplies.</li>\n <li>Provides patient education on the prescribed therapy and equipment use and maintenance.</li>\n <li>Performs therapy management, and follows up with the patient to ensure quality and satisfaction. </li>\n <li>Troubleshoot equipment and supply fit and operation for patient usage.  </li>\n <li>Provides a high level of customer service.</li>\n <li>Thoroughly cleans and performs basic functional tests on equipment owned by Mahaska Health Sleep and Medical Supplies. </li>\n <li>Participates in the billing for the department ensuring all documentation is present to meet Certificates of Medical Necessity and Assignment of Benefits that are required for reimbursement.</li>\n <li>Assists with tracking and reporting sleep and medical supply inventory levels.</li>\n <li>Delivers equipment to customer homes when necessary. </li>\n <li>Develops and maintains working knowledge of current Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance regulations. </li>\n <li>Maintains current knowledge of medical equipment available. </li>\n <li>Delivers and picks up equipment and supplies from other areas of the hospital and clinics. </li>\n <li>Participates in quality monitoring and process improvement activities for DME.</li>\n <li>Follows infection prevention policies/procedures during patient/customer interactions.  Wears appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) while performing other job duties. </li>\n <li>Reads and follows SDS sheets and handles hazardous materials following SDS. </li>\n <li>Performs necessary housekeeping to help maintain the cleanliness of the department/office.</li>\n <li>Ability to deal with confidential information. </li>\n <li>Must be able to perform the physical demands of the job.</li>\n <li>Maintains regular and reliable attendance. Attend meetings, as requested. </li>\n <li>All other duties as assigned or requested.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Current license to practice Respiratory Care in the State of Iowa OR</li>\n <li>current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa.</li>\n <li>Maintains a valid Iowa driver’s license. </li>\n <li>Required to show proof of having the minimum liability insurance limits on any vehicle used for work, as outlined in the policy manual. </li>\n <li>Must adhere to all training requirements as mandated by Federal, State, and professional licensure and regulatory standards. </li>\n</ul>",
