As the only airline offering year-round connectivity and premium service to Bermuda, we are redefining regional air travel with daily services across the USA, Canada, and the Caribbean.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Position Summary</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The Technical Director serves as the Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA) Nominated Postholder for Control and Direction of Maintenance, with overall responsibility for the airworthiness, safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance of BermudAir's fleet.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">This role provides strategic leadership and oversight of outsourced Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) and Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) activities, ensuring the highest standards of maintenance, engineering performance, operational support, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will be a highly qualified aviation professional with extensive leadership experience in aircraft maintenance and engineering.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Lead the airline's engineering and maintenance strategy in support of corporate objectives.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Provide oversight and management of outsourced CAMO and AMO providers.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Lead aircraft transition projects, delivering and redelivering aircraft to lessors</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ensure compliance with all applicable BCAA, manufacturer, and industry regulatory requirements.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Maintain responsibility for aircraft maintenance, repairs, modifications, reliability, and airworthiness programs.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Develop and continuously strengthen the Maintenance Control function and technical teams.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Serve as the primary engineering liaison with regulatory authorities, aircraft manufacturers, and maintenance providers.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Manage engineering budgets, contracts, and resource allocation to ensure operational efficiency and cost effectiveness.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives, new technologies, and process enhancements.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Provide technical guidance and recommendations to executive leadership.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Support operational decision-making and remain available for critical engineering matters as required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Represent BermudAir at industry forums, regulatory meetings, and professional events.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications &amp; Experience</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Required</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Eligible to hold the BCAA Nominated Postholder position for Control and Direction of Maintenance in accordance with OTAR 119 requirements.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence (AMEL) or equivalent qualification.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Minimum 10 years of aircraft maintenance and engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Demonstrated experience managing outsourced maintenance and continuing airworthiness programs.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance regulations, airworthiness requirements, and industry best practices.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Experience managing budgets, vendor relationships, and operational performance.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Preferred</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Embraer or regional jet maintenance experience.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Experience with cabin retrofit programs, STCs, and aircraft modifications.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Additional Information</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The position is based in Bermuda; however, hybrid solutions will be considered</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Working hours may vary in line with operational requirements.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Significant international travel will be required.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Join Us!</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">If you are passionate about aviation engineering, operational excellence, and upholding the highest standards of aircraft safety and performance, we invite you to apply for the <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Technical Director</span> position at BermudAir.
