Ensures the timely delivery of the department&#39;s deliverables, mentors and trains others, and participates/leads in meetings involving customers and team members.</p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><strong style=\"background-color: transparent;\"><u>MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</u></strong></span></p><ul><li data-pasted=\"true\">Provide an advanced level of CAD support in order to create / update 3D &nbsp;and 2D models&nbsp;</li><li>Prepares / updates 2D / 3D drawings / files of automotive systems and components according to requirements per activity / vehicle / sub-system.</li><li>Generates, reviews and/or maintains design related project documentation.</li><li>Supports CAD data analysis and vehicle level and packaging studies.</li><li>High level of familiarity with design requirements and standards [CAD, PLM, CAE, data transfer, design integrity, materials, and tolerances.</li><li>Releases and manages CAD data (3D, 2D) to/in a PLM system (Teamcenter).</li><li>Manages transfer of CAD data from/to customers, suppliers and service providers.</li><li>Assists Product Engineering during all program timing phases (concept, build, dimensional layouts, measurement data evaluation, trouble-shooting, fixture design).</li><li>Attends customer meetings representing TDM and to acquire project / program information.</li><li>Participates in global area team meetings (web-meetings / phone conferences).&nbsp;</li><li>Receive incoming data, perform necessary translations, organize &amp; rename files as appropriate</li><li>Assist in resolving data issues</li><li>Design or enhance part surfaces for position in the model build</li><li>Designer will take data and information from the concept stage to completion where it can then be given to the manufacturing department to develop the actual deliverables.
