Position Title: Chair Rental Sales Associate Department: Festival Shop (Marketing & Communications) Reports To: Manager of Retail Operations Range: $15.75-$18.00/hr, non-exempt (commensurate with experience) Company Description At Ravinia, we believe in the transformative power of shared, live-music moments and their ability to inspire individuals, strengthen communities, and foster a more connected world. Together, Ravinia’s initiatives serve tens of thousands of students, families, and emerging professional musicians. Our 36-acre park is home to North America’s longest-running outdoor music festival and its most artistically diverse. Over 100 different events, featuring a mix of classical, rock, pop, jazz, R&B, indie, and country performers, make up a typical summer season across our open-air and indoor stages, including the annual residency of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Position Summary: As a Sales Associate for Ravinia’s Chair Rental, you will be part of a team that is responsible for the daily sales and customer relations of the on-site chair rental operation. You will have countless opportunities to engage with patrons and help create a welcoming Ravinia experience. Key Responsibilities Ring up sales for chair rentals Stock, clean, and organize chairs and tables for concert rental Carry and set up chairs and tables for parties, groups, and individuals Collect un-returned chairs and tables Clean, organize and restock rental chair storage and sale areas daily Sell light up novelties on the lawn on busy nights Qualifications High School or equivalent work experience Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to multi-task and work in teams or independently Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 40 lbs. Available to work evening hours on weekdays and weekends All Ravinia employees must be at least 16 years of age Work Environment The Ravinia season runs from June to September. Priority in hiring will be given to applicants who are available to work the entire season. Preparation and hiring begin May 12th, part-time & full-time hours are available This position has prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. It requires mostly afternoon/evening hours. Applicants must be available for both weekday and weekend hours.
