Join a team where your work truly matters—empowering job seekers, strengthening the local workforce, and contributing to a vibrant, community-focused organization that invests in both its customers and its staff.<br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities include:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proactively engage with customers to meet their information needs on a variety of topics by providing in depth reference assistance.</li>\n<li>Provide reference and customer service to diverse audiences at various services points including in-person, via phone, chat, and e-mail.</li>\n<li>Plan and deliver jobs &amp; careers programming and outreach services.</li>\n<li>Develop and maintain relationships with organizations and individuals in the community as it relates to subject expertise.</li>\n<li>Serve as a reference lead and provide staff training.</li>\n<li>Serve as in-charge staff member to resolve departmental issues.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Requirements &amp; Skills</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>One to three years of experience in a library or similar setting.</li>\n<li>Excellent research skills, with experience helping customers readily find desired resources and materials.</li>\n<li>Quick learner with excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong customer service skills. </li>\n<li>Demonstrated program development and instruction skills.</li>\n<li>Experience with presentations and public speaking is required.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The preferred candidate must also demonstrate ability to w<span>ork effectively with staff and customers in alignment with </span><a href=\"https://www.ahml.info/content/our-culture\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Our Culture</a><span> and </span><a href=\"https://www.ahml.info/IDEA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IDEA.</a></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education:</span> Master of Library Science Degree required. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Hours and Scheduling: </span> Full-time position 37.5 hours/week.  Primarily Monday-Friday, with 1-2 evening shifts weekly and weekend shift rotations.
