In this role, you will deliver one-on-one, hands-on guidance to empower patients to safely and confidently manage their prescribed subcutaneous injections.  This is a per diem position, offering flexibility to accommodate your schedule while making a meaningful impact on patient care. Mercalis’ Clinical Operations team will contact the Field Injection Trainer with patient referrals in their geographic area as they become available based on program enrollments.  The Field Injection Trainer has complete discretion on whether he/she chooses to accept a referral.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide in-home education and training to patients and caregivers on proper injection techniques, including preparation, administration, and disposal of injection materials.\n  <ul>\n   <li><u>Demonstration/training visits only. You will not administer any medications.</u></li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Assess patients’ and caregivers’ understanding of the injection process and tailor training to their individual needs.</li>\n <li>Review medication instructions, side effects and storage requirements to ensure patient safety and compliance.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate infection control practices, including hand hygiene and proper handling of injection equipment.</li>\n <li>Create a supportive and encouraging environment to reduce patient anxiety about self-injection.</li>\n <li>Document training sessions accurately in compliance with company and drug manufacturer regulations. Submit paperwork back to Mercalis within 24 hours of completion of the visit.</li>\n <li>Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals as needed to support continuity of care.</li>\n <li>Be able to administer first aid/CPR or coordinate emergency care (911) as needed if a medical emergency arises during a visit.</li>\n <li>Identify and report any adverse events, medical inquiries, or product complaints per Mercalis and manufacturer guidelines.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate mileage documentation for billing purposes.</li>\n <li> </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state(s) of practice. Must be in good standing.</li>\n <li>Active driver’s license.</li>\n <li>Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patient’s homes.</li>\n <li>Active professional liability insurance in the amount of $1 million or greater.</li>\n <li>Current CPR or BLS certification.</li>\n <li>Negative PPD (tuberculosis) test within the past two years.</li>\n <li>Not listed in the Office of Inspector General Excluded/Debarred list.</li>\n <li>Will need to successfully pass a third party administered background check upon hire.</li>\n <li>Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish trust with the patients and their families.</li>\n <li>Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends, as needed.</li>\n <li>Prior home health, patient education or injection training experience.</li>\n <li>Multilingual skills to better serve diverse patient populations</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li> </li>\n</ul>",
