And our tuition reimbursement program is the perfect springboard to help you get there!</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>So, what does an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Do? </strong>As a <strong>Maintenance Mechanic</strong>, you'll be an integral part of our plant operations team:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs maintenance and repairs on compressors, generators, fans and motors, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and other related equipment.</li>\n <li>Evaluate equipment failures for root cause and work with manager and coworkers to find better improvements for equipment.</li>\n <li>Install modifications to equipment as instructed by manager.</li>\n <li>Follow PM schedules and procedures, recording all relevant information.</li>\n <li>Properly balance systems and rigs for dismantling of mechanical equipment.</li>\n <li>Welds metal parts together or repairs broken/cracked parts.</li>\n <li>Overhauls equipment and installs new bearings, gears, valves, seals, linkages and other parts as required.</li>\n <li>Lubricating, cleaning and services equipment.</li>\n <li>Obtains, stores, records, safeguards and properly uses equipment, materials and supplies.</li>\n <li>Maintains a safe, clean working area.</li>\n <li>Ability to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or drive a vehicle as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong><strong>Qualifications Required as a Silvi Materials Maintenance Mechanic:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>At least 5 years similar work experience.</li>\n <li>Graduation from a technical or skills trades school preferred but not required. </li>\n <li>In a typical work setting, people in this job:</li>\n <li>Lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds on occasion.</li>\n <li>Use one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects</li>\n <li>Stand for long periods of time.</li>\n <li>Kneel, stoop, crouch, bend, stretch, twist or crawl.</li>\n <li>Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them.</li>\n <li>See details of objects that are less than a few feet away.</li>\n <li>See differences between colors, shades, and brightness</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Familiar with WINDOWS (basic applications), Internet, basic computer skills </li>\n <li>Working knowledge of plant maintenance procedures </li>\n</ul>\n<p> <strong>Working Conditions:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Able to work extended hours as needed</li>\n <li>Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors</li>\n <li>Must wear protective equipment while at the location</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Requires stationary position, traverse, move, transport, and the ability to significant degree to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, or position</li>\n <li>Must be able to work at heights; climb stairs, ladders, and silos</li>\n <li>Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently</li>\n <li>Requires Concrete chipping, shoveling, sweeping and greasing of plant equipment</li>\n <li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with employees and other individuals as well as function safely within an office environment and, on occasion, may visit industrial plant locations</li>\n <li>Requires stationary position, traverse, move, transport, and the ability to significant degree to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, or position</li>\n <li>Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently</li>\n <li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with employees and other individuals as well as function safely within an office environment and plant locations </li>\n <li>Must be able to work at heights; climb stairs, ladders, and silos</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Silvi Materials does not discriminate in employment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, genetic information, age, membership in an employee organization, retaliation, parental status, military service, or other non-merit factor.</p>",
