    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><strong>Position Title: Subregional Design Lead - EAST</strong></p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><strong>Location: &nbsp;Hybrid - Ashburn or Boston</strong></p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><strong>Your role&nbsp;</strong></p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing all activities, projects, and staff within the Architectural, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering Discipline. This position will act as a liaison both internally and externally for design services by interacting with Project Managers, personnel, clientele, consultants, contractors, and vendors</p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><strong>What you’ll do</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span>&nbsp;</span>Determine staffing needs by disciplines, by team and for individual projects based upon the current and projected workload; collect information and feedback from managers including staffing recommendations and workload projections</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Act as a mentor for discipline personnel by providing continuous assistance and support through professional training and career development</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Build work plans associated with personnel development within the discipline and review the performance and work quality through evaluations that are conducted on a regular basis including formal annual and mid-year reviews; provide recognition for outstanding contributions as well as provide constructive criticism for areas of improvement</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Review all Architectural, Mechanical, and Engineering deliverables for technical content and quality, drawing quality and adherence to code/project requirements so that they meet project requirements.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Participate and lead discipline meetings and design reviews with design team personnel</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Discuss discipline and project objectives, requirements and budgets with clientele, design staff, and senior leadership</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Establish design standards and procedures to manage the work of staff as well as the project teams by assisting in the review of quality assurance and quality control evaluations</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Collaborate with staff, Project Managers and Market Sector Leaders to improve or develop new engineering methods to improve efficiency, technique, quality, and dependability</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Provide oversight and assistance with writing and editing of program documents, specifications and equipment selection for building systems and device</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Personally, conduct or delegate job-site observations to ensure projects are adhering to specifications and design intent</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance in relation to zoning laws, fire regulations, building codes and other ordinances; convey applicable changes of local, state, and federal regulations and ordinances to discipline appropriate personnel</li></ul><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><strong>What you’ll need</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university; Master’s Degree or other advanced education is preferred</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Professional Registration as an Electrical/Mechanical Engineer or Architect is required</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Extensive familiarity and working knowledge of Building and Energy Codes, ASHRAE codes, NFPA codes</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">LEED AP preferred and a plus</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Building Systems Commissioning CxA is a plus</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">10-15 years minimum experience encompassing the design of Data Centers and Mission Critical facilities is required.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">7-10 years of progressive management experience</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with discipline personnel, office staff, and clientele</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Demonstrated ability to promote and establish teamwork and individual leadership within the discipline</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Ability to successfully and continuously lead a team of engineering professionals to meet and exceed project, discipline, and business unit goals</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Extensive knowledge of building codes and construction systems</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Effective time management and organizational skills; ability to become involved in several projects and remain up to date on the various developmental stages</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;
