The Aquatics Coordinator is responsible for performing emergency coverage for swim lessons as needed. The Aquatics Coordinator position is responsible forThis position ensures an atmosphere of discipline, friendliness, and safety within the framework of the YMCA of Superior California Aquatics programs.</p>\n<p><em>This job announcement is not intended to be inclusive of all functions, responsibilities and qualifications associated with the position, however, representative of the essential job functions and typical criteria considered necessary to successfully perform the position.</em></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Supervise and train Lead Swim Instructor and Swim Instructor staff; review, approve, and submit staff timesheets by the end of each pay period.</li>\n <li>Oversee the implementation of aquatics programs, including swim lessons.</li>\n <li>Lead and participate in teaching swim lessons.</li>\n <li>Respond to parent and participant concerns.</li>\n <li>Works alongside Aquatics Director and Pool Manager to ensure high-quality risk management protocols are maintained across all Aquatics programs</li>\n <li>Ensure all program equipment is maintained and regularly cleaned.</li>\n <li>Check pool chemistry as necessary.</li>\n <li>Maintain risk management policies and respond to emergencies per each facility’s EAP.</li>\n <li>Responsible for ensuring programs run effectively including during business hours and during evenings, weekends, and holidays.</li>\n <li>All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</strong></p>\n<p>Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions of position and to supervise program activities.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school graduate or equivalent.   </li>\n <li>Three years’ prior experience in aquatics teaching children and adults.</li>\n <li>Two years’ prior experience in supervision.</li>\n <li>Current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications required.</li>\n <li>Current Lifeguard certification required within 90 days of hire.</li>\n <li>Current YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor certification required within 90 days of hire.</li>\n <li>Current Certified Pool Operator or YMCA Pool Operator on Location certification required within 90 </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive compensation</li>\n <li>Comprehensive health benefits - Medical, Dental, Vision for full-time employees - 60% YMCA covered medical benefits for full-time employees and their families</li>\n <li>Retirement benefits – 10% employer contribution after completion of eligibility requirements</li>\n <li>Employee Assistance Program for all employees that is available to help employees overcome emotional, family, or other personal problems; offers guidance on financial and legal issues; improves health and wellness, and much more. </li>\n <li>CPR/First Aid Certification provided by YMCA</li>\n <li>Use of YMCA of Superior California Fitness facilities, camps, and rental facilities</li>\n <li>Paid time off benefits for part-time and full-time employees upon completion of eligibility requirements</li>\n <li>Training and staff development for all employees</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Posted Salary Range</h2>USD $19.26 - USD $26.83 /Hr.",
