Job Title: Painter Division: Precision Pulley & Idler (PPI) Location: Lenox, IA - On-site Shift: 2nd shift F LSA: Non - Exempt Grade: 1 Job Status: Full Time Travel Required: 0% Revision Date: May 19, 2025 Reports To: Production Supervisor PURPOSE OF POSITION Have an understanding of the different paints and chemicals, and the respective processes required to paint correct parts, components, and products as scheduled according to the supervisor. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. More specifically, the employee owner will: Make sure all chemicals are stored, used, and disposed of properly Paint all required products correctly, and with exceptional quality Assist in ordering paint and paint related equipment, as needed Continually participate in additional training related to the job Clean and maintain paint booth and equipment Change thinner and paint when necessary Color code product when specified Perform required preventative maintenance for work area and paint booth and system Record manometer readings and paint waste daily Perform all activities in a manner that protects and promotes the health, safety and welfare of fellow workers, the community and the environment. Know and observe all plant safety rules applicable to your work. Report all unsafe practices and conditions to your supervisor at the first opportunity. Strive to achieve the highest possible product quality. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required. Good written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work safely in a production environment required. EDUCATION – EXPERIENCE – COMPUTER SKILLS High school diploma or a general education degree (GED); or One to three months related experience and/or training; or Equivalent combination of education and experience. TRAINING – CERTIFICATIONS – LICENSES Continually participate in additional training related to the job. COMPETENCIES To perform this position successfully, individual should demonstrate the following work competencies: Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Uses equipment properly. Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves issues in a timely manner. Communication Skills – Speaks clearly, listens and receives clarification, respond to questions. While performing the duties of this position, the employee: Must be able to frequently stoop/bend. Must be able to regularly use hands and arms. Must be able to regularly stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision. Specific hearing abilities required for this job include the ability to hear equipment alarms and the ability to hear instructions from others. ENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITY The noise level in the work environment is usually LOUD. Consistently work will take place in moderate temperature to humid. Frequent exposure to heat, cold, humidity and industrial equipment.
