We currently have an opportunity for a <strong>Production </strong><strong>Supervisor</strong> to join our team located in Richmond, VA.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Your Role: </strong></p>\n<p>The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading the production team and supervising production workers in their department. This position will assist the plant to achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating results. In addition, this role recruits, hires, and trains employees and enforces company policies and guidelines. This position also evaluates the condition of production equipment. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>You will have the opportunity to Make Great Things Happen! </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Manage, direct, and coordinate all activities related to a production shift to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining safety and quality. </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Coach production team to be accountable for safety, production, quality, equipment damage, and housekeeping of the department. </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Coordinate with Scheduler to ensure daily production requirements are achieved. </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Ensure all production data is correctly gathered and reported daily. </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Support and improve upon quality initiatives designed to meet plant goals. </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Manage safety of the department to ensure that the department is the safest area in the plant and that plant goals are met. </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Ensure the department is meeting target accuracy goals and completion rate of the weekly inventory cycle counts; manage warehouse and ensure accuracy of inventory and shipping counts. </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>In locations where applicable, responsible for complying with the SQF and GMP practices and programs to ensure safe food packaging, and report food safety problems to those with authority to act. </p></li>\n</ul>\n<p>Ultimately, you will be responsible for creating a safe, clean, and unified team-oriented workplace that strives towards continuous improvement.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>You will love it here if… </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>You put safety first, always </li>\n <li>You listen, learn, and evolve </li>\n <li>You are passionate about collaboration, teamwork, and achieving shared goals </li>\n <li>You treat all people with respect, operating ethically, and embrace inclusivity</li>\n <li>You are committed to improving our impact on local communities</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>We need you to have: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>High School diploma or equivalent. </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>3+ years of related professional and progressive Manufacturing experience. </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Proficient in MS Office. </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers. </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Willingness to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines. </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Must be team-oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams. </p></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Icing on the cake: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>BA/BS degree in Operations Management, Business, or a related field. </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Prior team management experience combined with a proven track record of developing, coaching and mentoring a diverse staff. </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>SAP and/or Oracle experience. </p></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>If you answer yes to the following…we want to meet you!</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Intellectual Curiosity: Do you have an inquisitive nature?</li>\n <li>Problem Solving: Do you have a knack for tackling issues head-on?  </li>\n <li>Entrepreneurship: Do you enjoy taking ownership of your work? </li>\n <li>Customer Centricity: Do you always act in the best interests of the customer, putting their needs first?  </li>\n <li>Growth Mindset: Do you focus on progress rather than perfection? </li>\n <li>Continuous Improvement: Are you never satisfied with the status quo?  </li>\n</ul>\n<p>  </p>\n<p>Want to know more?
