Responsibilities Speech Language Pathologists at DHHC provide professional speech, language, and hearing services to clients in their homes. SLPs also provide speech language pathology education to staff, patients and other members of the patient’s support team. The SLP will: Screen, evaluate, diagnose, schedule and treat patients with communication disorders and dysphasia. Document patients’ diagnosis, treatment, and progress. Communicate patient care information as appropriate to outside referrers and team members. Educate patient/family concerning patient's disability, progress, and potential. Coordinate home visits with other homecare staff. Establish and maintain good public relations by becoming a local resource for communication disorder information. Prepare and participate in continuing education and in-service sessions for agency staff and outside agencies. Participate with other team members in prevention programs as consultant and/or therapist. Participate in formal investigative studies as determined in consultation with program Director. Maintain knowledge of homecare regulations. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech Pathology required. Professional licensure in both Vermont and New Hampshire required. Required Licensure/Certifications Professional licensure in both Vermont and New Hampshire required. Driver’s license, minimum requirements on car insurance, and a clean driving record
