font-size: 14pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Sandy Lane Hotel, an AAA Five Diamond, Forbes Five Star exclusive resort and a member of Leading Hotels of the World, is seeking to recruit an Assistant Chief of  Security for our Security Department.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-weight: bold\">The Role </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">The Assistant Chief of Security report to the Chief of Security and assists in directing and coordinating all security, safety, and health operations of the hotel to ensure the protection of guests, employees, contractors, and assets in compliance with luxury hospitality standards and the Barbados Safety and Health at Work Act, Cap. 356.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-weight: bold\">The Successful candidate will be required to: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Assist in managing all property security operations including patrols, access control, surveillance monitoring, and incident response.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Supervise deployment and performance of Security Officers to ensure continuous protection of guests and employees.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Maintain a secure environment while preserving the discreet and service-oriented atmosphere expected within a five-star luxury hotel.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Enforce hotel policies, emergency procedures, and statutory safety requirements.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Assist management with maintaining a workplace that is safe and without risks to health, including guest areas, back-of-house operations, and external grounds.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Participate in conducting and reviewing workplace risk assessments as required before implementing equipment or operational changes.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Recommend corrective and preventative actions to eliminate or minimize hazards</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Assist with ensuring employees receive adequate safety information, instruction, training, and supervision as required by law.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Respond to and investigate workplace accidents, injuries, unsafe acts, and near misses.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Prepare incident investigation reports and corrective action recommendations</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Assist with administering the hotel’s Fire Life Safety Programme.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Coordinate fire drills, evacuation exercises, and emergency simulations.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-weight: bold\">Our ideal candidate must possess:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Diploma or Degree in Security Management, Occupational Safety &amp; Health, Criminal Justice, or Hospitality Management.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Minimum 5–7 years security experience, including 2–3 years supervisory experience, preferably within a luxury hotel or resort.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Certification in First Aid &amp; CPR, Fire Safety and Occupational Safety &amp; Health (preferred)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Good analytical and communication skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging work environment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Excellent work ethics and Grooming Standards</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Physical ability to respond to Emergency Situations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">A current Security License issued by the Government of Barbados.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">This position requires a high level of accountability.
