    "description": "<h2>Description</h2>\n<p><strong>This position allows for a hybrid work schedule with a mix of work spent in office and working remote from home. </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As a Senior Substation Physical Designer, you will be working in a project team environment with engineers and other designers involved in high and extra high voltage substation design. Responsibilities will include the preparation of the following substation drawings:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Substation General Arrangement</li>\n <li>Substation Electrical Equipment Plans</li>\n <li>Substation Section Views (Elevations)</li>\n <li>Substation Detailed Bill of Material</li>\n <li>Substation Lightning Stroke Shielding Plan</li>\n <li>Substation Grounding Plan</li>\n <li>Substation Conduit, Electrical Connection and Grounding Details</li>\n <li>Substation Below Grade Conduit/Raceway Plan</li>\n <li>Control Building Equipment, Cable Tray, Lighting, Grounding Plans and Section</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Interpreting and incorporating vendor information into design deliverables.</li>\n <li>Performing walkdowns at client facilities.</li>\n <li>Applying Client's standards related to the work.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Education/Experience Requirements:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>A minimum of 10 years of substation physical design experience.</li>\n <li>An Associate’s Degree in Drafting, or a high school diploma and 3 or more years drafting course work or equivalent technical experience.</li>\n <li>Proficient with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.</li>\n <li>Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of the computer. </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Valued Knowledge/Skills:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>An Associate's Degree in Computer Aided Design.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including the ability to relate various equipment to a technical design.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Award-Winning Benefits</h2>\n<p>At Sargent & Lundy, we care about the health and well-being of our employees.
