This role offers hands‑on field and office experience while working alongside experienced technicians and professionals within a leading global professional consulting firm.</div><div class=\"paragraph-in-scc-markdown-text ___1ngh792 ftgm304 f1iaxwol\">As a Junior Geotechnical Construction Materials Field Technician, you’ll play a key role in supporting the quality and integrity of construction projects across residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional building sites, as well as infrastructure projects that help shape our communities.</div><hr><h2><strong>Your Impact</strong></h2><ul><li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">Deliver technical services in both field and office environments to support geotechnical and construction materials projects.</li><li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">Perform field Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) testing on soils, concrete, aggregate, and asphalt.</li><li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">Conduct soil and asphalt compaction testing to verify compliance with project and industry standards.</li><li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">Carry out subgrade, footing, and construction site inspections and observations.</li><li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">Collect, document, and analyze field samples, providing accurate and timely results that inform critical project decisions.</li><li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">Maintain, calibrate, and care for testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.</li><li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">Champion health, safety, and quality by adhering to WSP’s field and laboratory Health &amp; Safety programs.</li></ul><hr><h2><strong>The Skills That Set You Apart</strong></h2><ul><li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">College Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, or a related discipline, preferably with a focus on geotechnical engineering.</li><li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">1–2 years of experience working as a geotechnical or construction materials technician.</li><li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">Eligibility for, or registration with, OACETT is considered an asset.</li><li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">Familiarity with civil construction practices and testing standards (CSA, ASTM, CCIL).</li><li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">Ability to work independently in field and laboratory environments while collaborating with supervisors and project teams.</li><li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with contractors and colleagues.</li><li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions and committed to strict safety protocols.</li><li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">Valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle and appropriate insurance coverage.</li></ul><hr><h2><strong>Why Choose WSP?</strong></h2><div class=\"paragraph-in-scc-markdown-text ___1ngh792 ftgm304 f1iaxwol\">Why Choose WSP?
