    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<div>\n HWI has a fantastic opportunity to join our Operations Team as a Manager, Plant III.&nbsp;\n</div>\n<div>\n</div>\n<div>\n <b>Summary</b>\n</div>\n<div>\n <p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right:5.95pt;\">The Manager, Plant III is a highly specialized and critical position accountable for contributing to HarbisonWalker Internationals overall business performance through the overall operation of the plant; ensuring safety, production, quality and capital efficiency goals are met. This role is responsible for having adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, etc).</p>\n <p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right:5.95pt;\"><br/></p>\n</div>\n<div>\n <b>Responsibilities&nbsp;</b>\n</div>\n<div>\n</div>\n<div>\n <ul>\n  <li>Developing, implementing, and maintaining manufacturing plans and KPIs to ensure the plant operates at optimum levels with efficient utilization of people, equipment, and resources; directing the resolution of operational, manufacturing, maintenance and quality issues to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays</li>\n  <li>Minimizing rework, scrap and material losses; continuously seeks and implements cost and waste reduction initiatives; utilizing tools like 5S, Lean and 6Sigma</li>\n  <li>Ensuring KPIs and targets are developed for departmental activities</li>\n  <li>Managing plant safety program(s) in a manner that supports a positive safety culture</li>\n  <li>Reviewing and directing all aspects of plant quality system</li>\n  <li>Managing engineering activities; developing and implementing short-term and long-term capital project plans; ensuring capital projects are delivered to scope, on time and within budget</li>\n  <li>Overseeing inventories of supplies, raw materials and finished; ensuring raw material planning and procurement meet manufacturing needs</li>\n  <li>Identifying, managing, and developing talent to maximize individual, team and organizational effectiveness; fostering a culture of engagement and accountability; coaching through feedback, development planning and performance management; using effective change management skills to effectively plan, implement and evaluate change management objectives</li>\n </ul>\n <div>\n  <br/>\n </div>\n</div>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><b>Requirements</b></p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Requires B.S. in Engineering, Science or related field</li>\n <li>Requires interpersonal skills in dealing with employees and customers</li>\n <li>Requires strong management skills with the ability to supervise multiple teams</li>\n <li>Requires leadership, team building, and management skills</li>\n <li>Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead</li>\n <li>Excellent conflict-resolution and decision-making abilities</li>\n <li>Requires knowledge of refractory materials, products, and operations</li>\n <li>Requires computer operation skills including, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CAD and Oracle ERP</li>\n <li>Requires strong decision making and problem-solving skills</li>\n <li>Requires strong mechanical aptitude</li>\n <li>Requires knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing and LEAN Management principles</li>\n <li>Requires experience in working towards Lean production</li>\n <li>Requires knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standards Quality Management Systems</li>\n <li>The Manager, Plant III requires four plus (4+) years of manufacturing and management experience in an industrial manufacturing operation.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Project Management qualification preferred</li>\n <li>Lean/ Six Sigma, Green Belt certification preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<div>\n <br/>\n</div>\n<p></p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"></p>\n<div>\n <b>Physical and Environmental Requirements</b>\n</div>\n<div>\n <ul>\n  <li>Physical Activity:&nbsp; Requires more than 2/3 of time reaching;&nbsp; 1/3 to 2/3 of time standing, sitting, speaking/hearing; and less than 1/3 of time walking, climbing/balancing, stooping/ kneeling/ crouching/crawling, tasting/smelling.</li>\n  <li>Lifting:&nbsp; Requires lifting up to 100 pounds less than 1/3 of time.</li>\n  <li>Vision:&nbsp; Requires accurate close and distance vision, color vision, and the ability to focus.</li>\n  <li>Environment:&nbsp; Requires 1/3 to 2/3 of time in an office setting; and less than 1/3 of time working near moving technical parts, working in high, precarious places, exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic/caustic chemicals, outdoor weather, and/or in extreme heat.</li>\n  <li>Noise:&nbsp; Requires exposure to moderate noise.</li>\n </ul>\n</div>\n<ul>\n</ul>",
