The Environmental Manager also works closely with the EHS CoE (Environmental, Health &amp; Safety Center of Excellence) for functional alignment, clarity, and support.<br><br><strong>Position Responsibility:</strong><br>The responsibilities of the Environmental Manager include, but are not limited to, the following:<ul><li>Monitor site activities and implement actions to ensure compliance with all ADM, federal, state, and local government regulations related to environmental regulations and requirements.</li><li>Develop and provide training for employees and contractors related to environmental programs.</li><li>Prepare required reports and maintain all necessary records/documentation related to environmental programs for the facility.</li><li>Participate in and lead, where appropriate, cross-functional initiatives to drive sustained, continuous improvements to achieve Annual Objectives (\"Big Rocks\")</li><li>Participate in and lead, where appropriate, all internal and external environmental audits and&nbsp;environmental agency visits and prioritize, assign, and track audit findings for completion.</li><li>Prepare appropriate permit applications and regulatory applicability analysis relating to air, land, water, and other environmental regulations and requirements.</li><li>Communicate with regulatory agencies in writing, by phone or in person as required for&nbsp;pre-application meetings or to&nbsp;resolve issues related to permit compliance.</li><li>Travel on occasion for meetings, and trainings.</li><li>Maintain and manage the site’s EMS including, but not limited to, policies, standardization, procedure development, incident investigations,&nbsp;root cause analyses, risk reduction efforts, inspections, audits, and training.</li></ul><strong>Position Requirements:</strong><ul><li>BS/BA degree in Engineering, Environmental Management/Engineering or related program.</li><li>5+ years of&nbsp;experience working in a similar role in a continuous manufacturing,&nbsp;industrial environment is preferred.</li><li>Strong knowledge&nbsp;of environmental regulations and management systems, including air and water regulations and permitting.</li><li>Strong leadership skills with the ability to impact and influence others at all levels in the organization.</li><li>Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to organize and lead meetings.</li><li>Demonstratable ability to work within a team-based, cross-functional&nbsp;work environment.</li><li>Ability to assess risk and exercise sound judgment in making decisions.</li><li>Willingness to work flexible hours outside of normal day-shift business hours to support&nbsp;plant operations&nbsp;(i.e., training, inspections, etc.).</li><li>Willingness to be a point of contact for after hour emergencies when required.</li><li>Demonstratable proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.</li><li>This position requires the ability to work in a variety of conditions including an office environment, indoors/outdoors, in a variety of environmental conditions (hot/cold/inclement weather) as well as physical demands including walking long distances, standing, kneeling, and sitting for prolonged periods of time, performing work at heights, climbing stairs/ladders and the ability to work in confined spaces and wear a respirator when required.</li></ul><div>Excited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
