Click to learn more about GTC.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>As a Field Service Technician for Gordon Truck Centers / Freightliner Northest (also known as “mobile mechanic”), you can expect to conduct on-road and customer on-site maintenance services by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing preventative and corrective maintenance on heavy duty equipment.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Run diagnostic tests and analyze results.</li>\n <li>Repair or replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of engines, transmissions, differential, A/C and suspensions.</li>\n <li>Determine unit condition by conducting inspections & diagnostic tests, identifying deficiencies.</li>\n <li>Able to read schematics for electrical and air systems.</li>\n <li>Develop technical skills through training opportunities.</li>\n <li>Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications; make necessary adjustments if required.</li>\n <li>Ensure the cleanliness of the mobile service truck.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Heavy equipment dealership experience is helpful in this job role; two years or more preferred.  Three years of actual truck repair experience needed.  Bring your strong mechanical aptitude, team player mentality and belief in safety first to Team Freightliner Northwest! </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Compensation</strong></p>\n<p>Based upon level of skill and experience, hourly compensation is $20.00 to $40.00. Night shift, weekend shift, and lead/mentor differential pay available.</p>\n<p><strong>Dash Camera:</strong> For insurability and safety purposes, GTC uses front and rear facing dash cameras in all company vehicles. </p>\n<p><strong>Other</strong>: Must have valid driver’s license and be insurable. CDL-A is a plus. Valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to obtain. A full complement of tools required for diesel equipment repair including wrenches and sockets to 1 ¼”, 3/8” and ½” drive air tools, floor creeper and a roll around tool cabinet.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>GTC General Benefits Description</strong></p>\n<p>Gordon Truck Centers, Inc.
