The clinic hours are typically Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4pm.<br><br>Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) providing Federal customers with solutions in many arenas. Our customers face wide-ranging challenges in the fields of national security, health care, and information technology. To address these challenges, we employ intelligent and committed staff who take care of our customers&#8217; success as if it is their own.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities&#160;</strong><ul><li>Operate linear accelerators and other radiation therapy equipment to deliver prescribed radiation treatments to patients.&#160;</li><li>Prepare imaging, simulation, treatment, and ancillary equipment for patient use.&#160;</li><li>Position patients accurately for treatment, using immobilization devices as necessary.&#160;</li><li>Explain procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort and cooperation throughout the treatment process.&#160;</li><li>Observe and&#160;monitor&#160;patients during treatments for reactions and safety concerns.&#160;</li><li>Maintain&#160;accurate&#160;treatment records, including daily treatment notes in the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS).&#160;</li><li>Perform daily quality assurance checks on radiation therapy equipment.&#160;</li><li>Assist&#160;in CT simulation procedures, including&#160;acquiring&#160;specific data sets&#160;as prescribed by&#160;physicists or physicians.&#160;</li><li>Construct&#160;accurate&#160;contours of patients' bodies and perform necessary measurements for treatment planning.&#160;</li><li>Operate simulator equipment and take high-quality radiographs to accurately localize tumor volumes.&#160;</li><li>Limit radiation fields using lead cut-outs or multi-leaf collimation (MLC).&#160;</li><li>Assist Radiation Oncologists with bolus design according to physician's direction.&#160;</li><li>Maintain and update patient treatment charts and records.&#160;</li><li>Adhere to all radiation safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.&#160;</li><li>Participate in quality improvement activities and continuing education.&#160;</li><li>Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary radiation oncology team.</li></ul><strong>Qualifications</strong><ul><li>Associate's degree or certificate from an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology program.&#160;</li><li>Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.&#160;</li><li>Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.&#160;</li><li>Minimum of 1 year experience in radiation therapy, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.&#160;</li><li>Knowledge of radiation safety principles and practices.&#160;</li><li>Experience with:&#160;<ul><li>Varian Linear Accelerators (TrueBeam or similar).&#160;</li><li>CT simulation.&#160;</li><li>Various treatment techniques including 3D-CRT, IMRT, and IGRT.&#160;</li><li>ARIA record and verify system or similar oncology information systems.</li><li>Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.</li></ul></li><li>Excellent patient care skills and bedside manner.&#160;</li><li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment.&#160;</li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.&#160;</li><li>Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and&#160;assist&#160;in patient positioning.&#160;</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.&#160;</li><li>Ability to pass a government background check and complete required VA training.&#160;</li></ul><p><strong>All candidates must be able to:</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift</li>\n\t<li>Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist</li>\n\t<li>Lift up to 20 lbs</li>\n\t<li>Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance</li>\n\t<li>Push/pull with 30 lbs of force</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran. </strong></p>",
