There are 3 vacancies (2 existing and 1 new). Our designers take customer ideas and specifications to generate industry leading solutions. Designers coordinate both the capital and investment tooling designs, with a focus on process feasibility, safety, a machinability. Innovative is looking to expand our design team, with individuals who tackle technical challenges head on and enjoy working within a team environment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>What you’ll do: </em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with Sales team and Customer to understand project requirements and machine concepts</li>\n<li>Work directly with vendors to verify component selections</li>\n<li>Provide design solutions for custom, non-standard equipment. Develop sales concepts into detailed 3D CAD models using creative problem solving and application of engineering theory</li>\n<li>Delegate duties and coordinate the design process with Junior, and Contractor resources., which could include up to 10 resources during the design phases of large-scale projects</li>\n<li>Review designs of project team, checking for scope intent, functionality, simplicity, and manufacturability</li>\n<li>Meet with Project Manager and team members to ensure project deliverables are tracking per schedule and scope</li>\n<li>Conduct design reviews to customer for approval, prior to manufacturing</li>\n<li>Identify Machine Safety items and provide design direction in accordance to relevant safety codes and principles.</li>\n<li>Ability to complete safe stop distance calculations for PSSD’s.</li>\n<li>Ability to create and facilitate Machine Safety Risk Assessments with the Project team</li>\n<li>Review or prepare detailed manufacturing component and assembly drawings per IA standards</li>\n<li>Supervise or complete the creation of IO lists and drawings, along with Cycle Time charts for down stream departments</li>\n<li>Supports Build team as required during the Assembly and Development of the equipment</li>\n<li>Update designs and drawings upon development and project completion</li>\n<li>Contribute ideas for Continuous Improvement projects that improve the departments operation and efficiency</li>\n<li>Mentor and support Junior level mechanical designers</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>What you’ll need:</em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent specialized experience</li>\n<li>5+ years of designing Industrial Automation custom machinery with combined leadership experience</li>\n<li>5+ years of design experience with Solidworks</li>\n<li>Good understanding of Assembly processes including but not limited to: Welding (Mig, Resistance, laser, etc.), Dispensing, Pressing, Fastening, Part feeding, Material handling, etc.</li>\n<li>Good understand of GD&amp;T, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, ASME Y14.5</li>\n<li>Working knowledge and application of relevant Safety Codes</li>\n<li>Experience conducting Machine Safety Risk Assessments</li>\n<li>Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills</li>\n<li>Team player: Ability to collaborate with others in various departments or roles to overcome challenges and find solutions</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em>For more information, visit our website at <a href=\"https://www.innovativeautomation.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.innovativeautomation.com</a>.</em></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em>If you require any accommodation during our recruitment process, please let us know. </em></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">#IAI2025 </span></em></p>",
