Be part of the journey.</p>\n<h2>Role Overview and Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>As our <strong>General Manager</strong>, you're responsible for leading the site as a standalone business unit, with full accountability for performance, people, and long-term success. This includes ownership of the site’s profit and loss, driving sustainable growth, and ensuring effective leadership across all operational and support functions.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Reporting to the EVP Power (Divisional Lead), the General Manager leads site performance through robust Monthly Business Reviews, bi-annual Talent Reviews, and the development and delivery of a clear Strategic Growth Plan. The role includes presenting strategy, performance, and risks to Board-level stakeholders.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As a key member of the Divisional Leadership Team, the General Manager works collaboratively across UK and US sites to identify opportunities, deliver multi-site customer solutions, and contribute to the broader direction of the business, while continuously improving site performance.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities Include: </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Full General Management responsibility for the site, with accountability for P&L performance, growth, and overall business health.</li>\n <li>Accountability for Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) performance, ensuring a safe, compliant, and continuously improving working environment. </li>\n <li>Lead site operations and teams to deliver aligned, high-performance outcomes.</li>\n <li>Build leadership capability and drive a culture of lean and continuous improvement alongside safety-first excellence.</li>\n <li>Effective stakeholder relationship management. Notably nurturing senior customer relationships whilst enhancing customer experience and outcomes.</li>\n <li>Set the direction and pace of the site through clear goals, strong leadership, and a focus on delivery. </li>\n <li>Development and execution of the site’s strategic growth plan, aligned to divisional and group objectives. </li>\n <li>Lead Monthly Business Reviews and bi-annual Site Talent Reviews.</li>\n <li>Ensure effective site controls and governance to enable effective risk management across key areas such as HSE, contracts and operations. </li>\n <li>Active participation in the UK and US divisional leadership team, contributing to wider business strategy and decision-making, collaborating across sites to identify and deliver multi-site customer solutions.</li>\n <li>Ownership of capital expenditure (Capex) planning, budgeting, and approval processes, ensuring appropriate investment in safety, compliance, and growth. </li>\n <li>The senior point of accountability for all site activities, decisions, and outcomes.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications, Skills and Attributes</h2>\n<p><strong>What we're looking for: </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience (business, engineering, operations, or related field.) </li>\n <li>Considerable experience in a General Manager or senior leadership role with full business unit accountability.</li>\n <li>Strong financial and commercial acumen, including ownership of P&L and budgeting processes. </li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience leading multi-functional teams within an operational environment, delivering business growth and operational improvement. </li>\n <li>Experience developing and executing strategic plans. </li>\n <li>Sound knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) regulations and best practice, NEBOSH is desirable.</li>\n <li>Experience managing capital expenditure (Capex) and investment planning. </li>\n <li>Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience engaging at senior level.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.
