More information is available at <a href=\"https://www.abingtonfriends.net/\" target=\"_blank\">https://www.abingtonfriends.net/</a></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Position Description:</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Abington Friends School seeks a Full-Time upper school mathematics teacher with the opportunity to serve as Department Chair.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>The responsibilities of the teaching position include:</strong></p><ul style=\"margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Teaching two to four sections of Mathematics. Course offerings range from Algebra I through AP Calculus. We seek as much flexibility as possible. Course assignments will be based on a candidate&rsquo;s expertise and departmental needs.</li><li>Engaging in a student-centered approach to teaching; the ideal candidate will have experience with the facilitation of collaborative work in the math classroom.</li><li>Providing constructive, timely feedback to students and families through grading, maintaining digital records, email communication, and quarterly comment writing.</li><li>Creating availability outside classroom hours to meet with students for extra help as needed.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>The responsibilities of the department chair position include:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Supporting curricular coherence across grades 9&ndash;12.</li><li>Overseeing the design and sequencing of course offerings.&nbsp;</li><li>Stewarding the onboarding of new faculty.</li><li>Managing departmental budgets and purchasing in alignment with school priorities.</li><li>Fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and reflective practice.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Values/Characteristics:</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Abington Friends School seeks a visionary, collaborative teacher with interest in social justice and a deep commitment to personal and professional growth.
