Promotes and upsells food and liquor with every guest. &nbsp;Mixes garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes pouring liquor, beer, and wine to Marriott Standards.<br />\r\nInputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest. &nbsp;Maintains an accurate record of all beverage items served.<br />\r\nProcesses cash, credit cards and/or voucher transactions, makes change as needed, verifies validity of charges, records charges, and insures vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all monies.<br />\r\nStores and secures all beverage, food and other equipment, deposits cash and vouchers, drops and secures bank.<br />\r\nMaintains and promotes a clean, sanitized, debris free work area and practices the &ldquo;Clean as you go&rdquo; method<br />\r\nChecks identification to verify age requirements to purchase alcohol<br />\r\nProvides guidance and insight to guests about property, history, and LAK (Local area knowledge)</p>\r\n\r\n<p>SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS<br />\r\nIn addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions.<br />\r\nPerforms general cleaning tasks using standard property cleaning products as assigned by your supervisor to adhere to health standards.<br />\r\nPerform other duties and responsibilities as requested (i.e., special guest requests, cross-training)<br />\r\nMust adhere to all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to insure all laws are being followed.<br />\r\nOther duties as assigned, including: assisting security with disorderly guests, and reporting any suspicious persons or activity immediately.<br />\r\nDiscover and responds to customer needs.<br />\r\nMaintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.<br />\r\nAll other duties assigned by manager.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES<br />\r\nThe individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities to be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.<br />\r\nMust have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations and service of various alcoholic beverages.<br />\r\nBasic English language writing skills necessary for completion of requisitions, balance sheets and vouchers.<br />\r\nAbility to remember, recite and promote the variety of food &amp; beverage items.<br />\r\nSufficient manual dexterity in hands in order to use a knife to make garnish, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead to retrieve stock.<br />\r\nAbility to operate a keyboard to input Point of Sale procedures to pre-check, input order and close out the check.<br />\r\nAbility to read, speak and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders.<br />\r\nAbility to work standing and work in confined spaces for long periods of time.<br />\r\n&nbsp;</p>\r\n",
