This includes planning, organizing, communicating, and coordinating activities with residents individually or in a group setting and planning and organizing special events. They serve as part of the management team to ensure policies and procedures are understood, trained, and implemented. This position oversees hiring, training, and managing other full-time team members (activity assistants, coordinators, and transportation drivers) to ensure all program expectations are in place and may have oversight of the transportation department.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Direct oversight of all life-enrichment activities, outings, and programs centered around the residents' needs within and outside the community.</li><li>Create and lead arts, crafts, music, drama, educational, and exercise activities.</li><li>Using your creativity and photography skills, prepare a monthly newsletter, calendar of activities, and monthly activity meetings.</li><li>Hire, train, and supervise Resident Lifestyle Assistants, Coordinators, and Drivers.</li><li>Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers when appropriate.</li><li>Enthusiastically encourage resident participation and celebrate their achievements.</li><li>Obtain necessary equipment and supplies and provide for their accessibility through organized storage.</li><li>Work with Marketing to assist with planning marketing events to promote the community.</li><li>Participate with the Executive Director in developing a budget for the department.</li><li>Foster family and community support of the activity program (e.g., through newsletters, networking, and activities that bring family or community members into the facility).</li><li>Contribute to the community's efforts to maintain and/or improve the quality of care through participation.</li><li>Coordinate the transportation of residents to and from events outside of the community, which may include driving a company vehicle.</li></ul><p><br></p>",
