    "description": "<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital is seeking a compassionate <strong>Palliative Medicine Physician</strong> to join our multidisciplinary Supportive & Palliative Care team. This role focuses on improving the quality of life for patients with serious illnesses by addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual needs through comprehensive symptom management and advance care planning.<strong>Practice Highlights and Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Schedule is full-time Monday through Friday. No weekends.</li>\n <li>Provide expert consultation in palliative medicine for patients with complex, chronic, or life-limiting conditions.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and other team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.</li>\n <li>Conduct goals-of-care discussions and assist patients and families with advance directives and end-of-life planning.</li>\n <li>Manage symptoms such as pain, fatigue, nausea, anxiety, and dyspnea to enhance patient comfort.</li>\n <li>Support the hospital’s mission to deliver patient-centered, holistic care.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.</li>\n <li>Completion of an ACGME accredited Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship program.</li>\n <li>Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.</li>\n <li>Active Florida medical license or eligibility to obtain one.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 2 years of experience in palliative care preferred.</li>\n <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</li>\n <li>Commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and continuous improvement.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Financial Package:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Excellent compensation package, opportunity to make more based-on productivity.</li>\n <li>Generous starting bonus.</li>\n <li>Full portfolio of benefits including health/vision/dental insurance along with malpractice coverage, disability coverage, deferred compensation, and matching retirement savings options from day 1!</li>\n <li>Paid NICA, Florida License, Florida DEA, and a membership to a professional society in addition to the CME stipend.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Facility Description</h2>\n<p><strong>About Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital</strong>Situated in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg, along Florida’s Gulf Coast, Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital St. Petersburg is a comprehensive emergency, medical and surgical acute-care facility, serving the residents of the region for more than 110 years.
