The team consists of environmental technicians, project coordinators, project managers, technical experts, and qualified professionals. We have been providing contaminated site program management services to the worlds most technically focused companies for over 15 years. We consistently have backlog of 9 to 12 months and provide growth opportunities for our high performing team members. We specialize in health and safety, Phase I/II ESAs, risk assessment and remediation. Our team takes on the biggest Canadian projects from coast to coast to coast.&nbsp;The projects range in type, size and complexity, and the successful candidate will be able to utilize the team strengths to manage a large amount of field work efficiently and effectively. &nbsp;</span></p><p><span lang=\"EN-CA\">WSP Canada has a full-time opportunity for an experienced environmental field technician to join our Remediation Program Management team in Ontario. This opportunity will allow you to travel frequently to sites across the province to supervise environmental remediations, conduct field work, supervise contractors, and manage on-site health and safety procedures. It is expected that you are self-motivated and will demonstrate strong time management and communication skills.&nbsp;</span></p><hr><p><span lang=\"EN-CA\"><strong>Your Impact</strong></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc; padding-left: 24px;\"><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Preparing and adhering to site-specific health and safety plans to mitigate or eliminate risks to you, clients, employees, and the public.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Identifying and reporting potential and existing site hazards, near loss incidents, and loss incidents.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Maintaining excellent field notes and collecting and handling soil and groundwater samples.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Carrying out fieldwork (e.g., groundwater monitoring and sampling, K-test data collection and analysis, soil sampling through test pit excavations or borehole drilling, soil vapour sampling, etc.).</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Supervising subcontractors for ground disturbance and utility location, surveying, borehole drilling, groundwater monitoring well installation, and test pit excavation.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Act at the Prime Contractor overseeing remedial contractors, including directing remedial excavations, waste tracking and progress reporting.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Filing and managing all project-related field notes including some data entry and assistance with report preparation.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Performing and recording work tasks, as requested, efficiently and accurately while adhering to current industry standards and regulatory requirements.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Travelling to sites across Ontario for multiple days to complete field tasks.</span></li></ul><hr><p><span lang=\"EN-CA\"><strong>The Skills That Set You Apart</strong></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc; padding-left: 24px;\"><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Minimum three years supervising drilling and remediations contractors.</span></li><li>Diploma in <span lang=\"EN-CA\">environmental sciences.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">A positive and enthusiastic attitude.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Willingness to learn and the ability to work with little supervision.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Strong knowledge of health and safety and a safety conscious attitude.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Strong interpersonal and communication skills with particular attention to detail and&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;accuracy of field notes.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">A valid driver’s license.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Willingness to travel for work.</span></li></ul><hr><p><span lang=\"EN-CA\"><strong>Why Choose WSP?</strong></span></p><p><span lang=\"EN-CA\">We exist to shape communities to advance humanity.
