The NPI Quality Engineer will focus on risk identification and mitigation, process validation, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure product performance, reliability, and compliance with customer and industry standards.</p><p>In this role, you will be heavily involved in developing and improving quality systems, conducting root cause investigations, and supporting qualification activities. You will act as a key contributor in maintaining adherence to ISO and AS9100 standards while helping to build scalable, robust processes that support Ichor’s rapid growth.</p><p>The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, is comfortable working independently, and enjoys collaborating with both internal stakeholders and customers to resolve complex quality challenges.</p><div style=\"font-family: &quot;Segoe UI&quot;; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; line-height: 20px;\"><p>Specific Job Duties:</p><ul><li>Develop and implement risk mitigation tools including PFMEA, Process Flow Diagrams, and Inspection Plans</li><li>Support qualification activities such as PPAP, FAI, and FAIR (AS9102)</li><li>Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts (8D, 5 Whys, CAPA)</li><li>Analyze returned products and generate detailed failure analysis reports</li><li>Apply statistical process control methods to monitor and improve processes</li><li>Collaborate with customer Quality and NPI Engineering teams</li><li>Participate in development and implementation of quality assurance standards</li><li>Prepare and present reports summarizing quality performance and activities</li><li>Work independently with minimal supervision</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Position Requirements:</p><p>Education:</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience</li></ul><p>Behavioral Attributes:</p><ul><li>Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex issues creatively</li><li>Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment</li><li>Strong collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders</li><li>Effective verbal and written communication skills</li></ul><p>Skills:</p><ul><li>5+ years of quality engineering or related experience</li><li>Experience with test strategy development, planning, and execution</li><li>Knowledge of ISO and AS9100 standards</li><li>Experience with root cause analysis methodologies (8D, CAPA, 5 Whys)</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)</li><li>Understanding of statistical process control techniques</li><li>Experience with Agile systems preferred</li><li>ASQ Certification (CQE, CQA) preferred</li></ul><p>For candidates based in Minnesota: The pay range for this position is $86,300 – $110,000 per year.</p><p>Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.
