Description
Job Purpose:
To provide support to the Food & Grocery marketing team in driving and expediting all activities relevant to the administration of the marketing function. This includes oversight of the procure-to-pay process for vendors of marketing materials and services, as well as administrative support for brand projects of various Divisional brands
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Marketing Support
Collects, verifies and logs all invoices and purchase orders for relevant brands, following through the entire process upon receiving the invoice to the invoice being paid.
Follows up with Internal Teams (Marketing, Commercial and Accounts) and External Suppliers to ensure timely processing of invoices, debit notes/claims and outstanding payments.
Generates and maintains monthly brand spend trackers, including expense summaries versus approved A&P budgets and projected spend.
Prepares and follows up on Advertising and Promotions requirements for the Department and generates monthly update reports on key projects to Brand Managers.
Collects new product information from the Brand Team and completes New Product set up form.
Supports with pricing survey and collation of data and basic reports.
Assists the Brand Team with market research. This may involve but is not limited to: sourcing quotations, organising in house research, sourcing products and facilitating communication where necessary.
Brand Project Support
Supports preparation of monthly supplier reports including sales summaries, distribution updates, promotional recaps and market feedback.
Assists with consolidation of post-promotion evaluations, ROI tracking and execution feedback for brand activities and campaigns.
Supports development and consolidation of presentations, reports and commercial updates for supplier meetings, launches, business reviews and key projects.
Coordinates execution of approved brand activities with Sales, Merchandising, Trade Marketing and external agencies to ensure timely and effective in-market implementation.
Coordinates supplier visit logistics, agendas, trade schedules and presentation support
Maintains organized and up-to-date repository of brand plans, promotional calendars, launch trackers and supplier documentation
Assists with planning and scheduling of support resources required for brand activities, including merchandising, graphics, sampling and promotional support.
Knowledge and Experience:
An Associate Degree or equivalent in Marketing or related field
A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a marketing FMCG environment
Experience in an FMCG environment would be an asset
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
