Embassy Summer, under its parent company EC English, offers award winning summer vacation programmes for young people across multiple locations in the UK, Malta, Spain, South Africa & UAE. Students learn English or Spanish whilst immersing themselves in the local culture and surroundings. Our programmes are a combination of language classes, exciting excursions and fun-filled sporting, creative and social activities.

Position Summary:
Activity Leaders are at the forefront of delivering a successful activity programme, providing instruction, guidance and coaching to the students, whilst ensuring all activities are delivered to provide a safe, secure, and tolerant environment in a proactive and engaged manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students for who you are responsible and with whom you come into contact. Ensure the activities and excursions operates to the highest standards of relevant Health & Safety and safeguarding practices. Manage and instruct during onsite activities sessions ensuring full student participation at all times. Manage and lead offsite excursions ensuring full student participation at all times. Act as a positive role model, promoting teamwork, inclusivity, respect and cultural awareness. Maintain high levels of energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism in all interactions with students and colleagues. Clearly communicate information, instructions, and expectations to students during activities, trips, and excursions Actively engage with students at all times, ensuring they feel included, supported, and encouraged to participate fully in activities, trips, and residential life. Maximise student and group leader satisfaction by ensuring their experience meets or exceeds their expectations.
Specific duties include: To lead, supervise, motivate & engage students on activities and trips. To enthusiastically promote the Activity Programme To ensure adequate preparation & set up for on/offsite activities. Prepare and deliver engaging information for walking tours, incorporating interactive tasks and photo opportunities for students. Escort and supervise students on excursions, walking tours, and cultural visits, ensuring they understand schedules, meeting points, and expected behaviour. Monitor student engagement, attendance, and behaviour, reporting any issues to management as necessary. Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and briefings as required. To maintain levels of student discipline, safety, and welfare To assist in day-to-day general duties as required. To work in a way that promotes the safety and well-being of children and young people. To carry out operational and residential duties to meet centre needs. To create a positive, inclusive and safe workplace environment. To ensure all stock is returned after each session and to report any damages.
This role requires regular physical activity, including walking, lifting, and carrying stock
to support daily operations.
Organisational Compliance:
The job holder will be expected to operate in accordance with the company’s Code of Conduct, and any local policies and operating procedures relating to academic, welfare and safeguarding matters.
Employees are required to cooperate fully with all arrangements in place related to Health and Safety which include implementation and compliance with control measures resultant from risk assessments and engagement with, and completion of, any relevant Health and Safety training.
Education Required: Educated to A-Level or equivalent. Additional Qualifications Desired: Valid First Aid Certificate Specialism in sports coaching, drama, or dance Experience Desired: Summer School experience, preferably in a multi-cultural environment Experience in working in, or qualifications in hospitality Experience in working in a customer facing environment Specialism in sports coaching, drama, or dance Personal Attributes: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organisational and planning skills. Ability to deal with and resolve complex problems and issues Ability to motivate and engage students Ability to work under pressure Demonstrates the ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people Demonstrates emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours Demonstrates a positive attitude to the use of authority and maintaining discipline Working week:
6 days out of 7 (1 day off per week) 42 hours per week

Staff uniform:
All staff are required to wear the designated company uniform while on duty. Employees must ensure that the uniform is worn properly, maintained in a clean and presentable condition, and always adheres to the company’s dress code standards.

We love bringing our young learners from around the world together through a common language and building global connections.\n_________________________________________________________________________________________\n Position Summary:\n Activity Leaders are at the forefront of delivering a successful activity programme, providing instruction, guidance and coaching to the students, whilst ensuring all activities are delivered to provide a safe, secure, and tolerant environment in a proactive and engaged manner.\n Key Responsibilities:\n Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students for who you are responsible and with whom you come into contact.\n Ensure the activities and excursions operates to the highest standards of relevant Health & Safety and safeguarding practices.\n Manage and instruct during onsite activities sessions ensuring full student participation at all times.\n Manage and lead offsite excursions ensuring full student participation at all times.\n Act as a positive role model, promoting teamwork, inclusivity, respect and cultural awareness.\n Maintain high levels of energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism in all interactions with students and colleagues.\n Clearly communicate information, instructions, and expectations to students during activities, trips, and excursions\n Actively engage with students at all times, ensuring they feel included, supported, and encouraged to participate fully in activities, trips, and residential life.\n Maximise student and group leader satisfaction by ensuring their experience meets or exceeds their expectations.\n Specific duties include: To lead, supervise, motivate & engage students on activities and trips.\n To enthusiastically promote the Activity Programme\n To ensure adequate preparation & set up for on/offsite activities.\n Prepare and deliver engaging information for walking tours, incorporating interactive tasks and photo opportunities for students.\n Escort and supervise students on excursions, walking tours, and cultural visits, ensuring they understand schedules, meeting points, and expected behaviour.\n Monitor student engagement, attendance, and behaviour, reporting any issues to management as necessary.\n Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and briefings as required.\n To maintain levels of student discipline, safety, and welfare\n To assist in day-to-day general duties as required.\n To work in a way that promotes the safety and well-being of children and young people.\n To carry out operational and residential duties to meet centre needs.\n To create a positive, inclusive and safe workplace environment.\n To ensure all stock is returned after each session and to report any damages.\n This role requires regular physical activity, including walking, lifting, and carrying stock\n to support daily operations.\n Organisational Compliance:\n The job holder will be expected to operate in accordance with the company’s Code of Conduct, and any local policies and operating procedures relating to academic, welfare and safeguarding matters.\n Employees are required to cooperate fully with all arrangements in place related to Health and Safety which include implementation and compliance with control measures resultant from risk assessments and engagement with, and completion of, any relevant Health and Safety training.\n Education Required: Educated to A-Level or equivalent.\n Additional Qualifications Desired: Valid First Aid Certificate\n Specialism in sports coaching, drama, or dance\n Experience Desired: Summer School experience, preferably in a multi-cultural environment\n Experience in working in, or qualifications in hospitality\n Experience in working in a customer facing environment\n Specialism in sports coaching, drama, or dance\n Personal Attributes: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\n Excellent organisational and planning skills.\n Ability to deal with and resolve complex problems and issues\n Ability to motivate and engage students\n Ability to work under pressure\n Demonstrates the ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people\n Demonstrates emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours\n Demonstrates a positive attitude to the use of authority and maintaining discipline\n Working week:\n 6 days out of 7 (1 day off per week)\n 42 hours per week\n Remuneration: Weekly rate for 2026 coming soon!\n Free Full Board accommodation included\n Staff uniform:\n All staff are required to wear the designated company uniform while on duty.
