Description The Material Test Lab Intern supports material characterization activities such as tensile testing, hardness testing, chemical analysis, and thermal/mechanical performance evaluation. The role offers hands‑on experience with lab instruments and data analysis. Responsibilities Prepare material samples for testing (cutting, mounting, polishing, labeling). Assist in conducting mechanical, thermal, and chemical tests. Operate material testing equipment (e.g., tensile machines, hardness testers, microscopes). Collect, analyze, and document test data. Support failure analysis and material evaluation studies. Maintain lab safety procedures and ensure equipment cleanliness. Prepare test reports and communicate results to engineers. Qualifications Currently enrolled in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field. Basic understanding of material properties (metals, plastics, composites). Interest in laboratory work and scientific testing methods. Strong attention to detail and data accuracy. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to follow safety and quality standards.
