The position also offers substantial health and retirement benefits. This is a full-time, 10-month position, and the coach will have a second responsibility within the Department of Athletics.</span></span><br><br>The Head Softball Coach will be responsible for the leadership and oversight of a program focused on excellence at the national level. Candidates should have a proven ability to develop a highly competitive program, with a strong commitment to the student-athlete experience. The softball team plays on a newly constructed turf field and makes consistent appearances in the NCAA national tournament.<br><br>Specific duties will include but are not limited to recruiting and retention of student-athletes, practice and game coaching, supervision of part-time assistant coaches, developing alumni relations, and fundraising to provide for team opportunities. In addition, the Head Coach is responsible for administrative tasks such as scheduling, budget management, and filing necessary reports. The Head Coach must demonstrate a commitment to maintaining compliance with NCAA, Eastern Connecticut State University, and Little East Conference rules and regulations.<br><br>Our preferred candidate will have the proven leadership skills to create a championship culture.
