The provision of substantial servings of well-prepared healthy food is an important contribution to the resident&rsquo;s physical health, strength and overall well-being. The Kitchen Coordinator will work within Si Se Puede&rsquo;s therapeutic environment with the program residents, who are healing from lived experience with substance use and may also struggle with mental health disorders, and a past history of contact with the criminal justice system. Services will be delivered with dignity and respect for each individual resident.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);font-size: 14px;\">Duties &amp; Responsibilities:&nbsp;</span></p><ul><li><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);font-size: 14px;\">Menu Planning/Meal Preparation &ndash; Plan and cook nutritious, good tasting meals for residents. Incorporate food donations into menu planning. Provide weekly menus and post them in advance.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);font-size: 14px;\">Food Inventory &ndash; Solicit and organize pickup of food donations from local sources. Provide a consistent schedule for donation pickup convenient to the donor and program schedule.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);font-size: 14px;\">Shop for and maintain an adequate inventory of food staples, kitchen supplies, paper goods and cleaning supplies. Remain within budget. Review expenses with manager regularly.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);font-size: 14px;\">Cleanliness &ndash; Maintain a clean kitchen in compliance with County and City Health and Safety codes, State licensing and Certification regulations. Report all equipment problems to supervisor immediately. Delegate cleaning projects to program residents as appropriate.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);font-size: 14px;\">Maintain food storage and refrigerators in clean and orderly manner.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);font-size: 14px;\">Schedule: Monday &ndash; Friday. Hours to be negotiated with Program Manager.&nbsp;</span></li></ul><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);font-size: 14px;\">Qualifications:&nbsp;</span></p><ul><li><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);font-size: 14px;\">High school diploma or GED.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);font-size: 14px;\">Two years&rsquo; experience working as a cook, planning and preparing meals.
